The Diary game (26/8/2026) A day of Procrastination and Laziness
I woke up to the sound of heavy rainfall today, and as I looked out my kitchen window I saw that the front of the house was flooded.
That meant one thing: a stay-at-home day for me!
I wasn't going to complain about the opportunity to do absolutely nothing academic today which was one of my best things to do once in a while.
There was still light when I woke so I checked if my stuffs were full and unplugged them. I then brushed and had my bathe ready to frolic on my bed.
After bathing I contemplated washing plates from the previous night but procrastinated and abandoned them.
I really need to find a way to get a dishwasher for myself because I detest washing plates but there's nothing I can do since I stay alone.
Even as I said no academic stuff today, my presentation was staring at me as I walked past the table to go to my bed. I stood eyeing the blue cover for some seconds and decided to see if I could do one or two with my laptop.
As I opened the laptop, instead of going to Microsoft PowerPoint, I don't know the spirit that took me to VLC and I started watching a kdrama titled, "Love in the big city."
The movie was so interesting. In this scene, the female lead is talking about love. And how you don't need to like someone so much to fall in love with them. She said that love is too abstract and hard to define, but it's obvious when you're missing someone. And I think I agree.
Love is a feeling that can't really be described. It's a confusing yet beautiful thing. You get giddy when their near you, their name or mentioned or when they notice you even. You might not even know you love someone unless by actions. You can only let someone know you love them by how you act, what you do, what you say.
Missing someone is a little more obvious.
After the movie, they took the light so I decided to stop procrastinating and wash the dishes.
After the dishes, I went to work on creating content for my design brand and mapping out my weak spots and how to grow my followers and give valuable content.
My friend cooked jollof rice which we both ate as lunch. Then I worked on a project flyer that I had to do for my design portfolio.
The day was uneventful but it was a good one. Thank you for reading.
