The Diary Game - Saturday, March 14, 2026: Condolences to the Parents of a Friend
Good afternoon and best wishes to all my Steemian friends. How are you today? I hope you are all in good health and always under the protection of Allah SWT, enabling you to carry out all your activities well. Alhamdulillah, I am back to share my daily activities on this happy day.
This weekend, Alhamdulillah, Muslims around the world have entered the twenty-fourth day of Ramadan 1447 Hijri. This blessed month is nearing its end and will soon be leaving us all. We all sincerely hope that Allah will accept our fasting and good deeds during Ramadan. The end of Ramadan marks the third ten-day phase, the phase of liberation from hellfire, or Itqun Minan Naar. This morning, before dawn, I woke up around 4:50 a.m. Western Indonesian Time to perform one of the highly recommended acts of worship during Ramadan: the pre-dawn meal.
With a simple menu, I always fill my stomach with a little food during suhoor to gain blessings and enable me to fast properly without any obstacles. The pre-dawn meal is very important because it distinguishes the Muslim fast from the fast of previous generations. Not long after the pre-dawn meal was over, an announcement was heard from the loudspeaker at the Babul Huda Mosque, signaling the imsak time. I finished my meal and cleaned up. I lay down for a while, waiting for the dawn call to prayer (adhan) until ten minutes later, the call to prayer sounded from the loudspeaker at the Babul Huda Panggoi Mosque.
I cleaned myself and performed ablution to perform the two-rak'at sunnah prayer (sunnah) of dawn prayer at home. The pre-dawn prayer, which is so richly rewarded and multiplied if performed regularly, will bring immense blessings and multiply its rewards. Shortly after hearing the iqamah (prayer) call, I left the house in the still-dark darkness and headed to the mosque to perform the morning prayer in congregation. After a brief iktiqaf (religious prayer) at the mosque and attending the regular post-dawn sermon, I returned home to take advantage of the break by lying down again with Raffa, who was still fast asleep.
I dozed for a while until I woke up at seven o'clock Western Indonesian time. As the clock approached 9 a.m., I left the house to take Raffa to daycare. Then, I headed to school to attend the closing ceremony for Ramadan Education after three weeks. Around 11 a.m., the school family went to the funeral home to pay their respects. After the prayer, I picked up my son and took him straight home. Shortly after hearing the call to prayer, I headed to the mosque to perform the Dhuhr prayer in congregation. In the evening, Raffa and I left the house to buy iftar. That evening, I filled my Ramadan activities with congregational Isha and Taraweeh prayers until the end.
That concludes my activities for today, and thank you for the continued support of all my Steemit friends everywhere.
Regards,
@fadlymatch
