My Diary Game: MY ENGAGEMENTS WITH OBOTME FOR CHRIST CRUSADE EVEN WHEN HAVING SYMPTOMS OF MALARIA - 12/12/2025

Yesterday was my arrival to the Obotme for Christ. I am a technician, an instrumentalist (majorly on keyboard) , a preacher and an organiser. Waking up today was to give all my time to the community Crusade; of course, that was what took me to the village. This is our 16th edition of this life-changing programme. Ever since we started this Crusade to pray for our community, we have seen the evidence of our sacrifice. There was no good road, water, light or other amenities in the land, but God gradually made them available to the point that we have a market that is sold twice a week. The community is known for agriculture, and taking them to distant markets to sell was a big challenge. Because the Crusade is very fruitful in the land, the traditional rulers and the family heads came together to give support to the programme.

The youths always voluntarily offered their various services in clearing and fixing the Crusade ground ready for use even before our arrival for those of us who are not in the village. Even children will always anticipate this gathering where they they theyre sing and thank God, hear the message of Christ and then pray for the land and the prosperity of the land.

SEE HOW BUSY DAY 1 WAS

MORNING

In the morning I was sneezing a lot, showing a serious symptom of malaria. In the village we use native treatments a lot, and we survive. One of the boys in the house went immediately to prepare what they call 5alive (a combination of 5 different edible leaves with sweet orange cooked together for me to drink). I drank one glass of the concoction, and my nose was cleared.

I had to then remove from the house the crusade instruments, about 10am, the youth president of the community drove in his car to pack the instruments with his boys who assisted me in fixing them up. The wiring were done and lots of cords for connections were discovered damaged because we used the equipments only for the yearly crusade.

AFTERNOON

I was there mounting the speakers and othe instruments until 12:03pm. Returning to the house, my boss told me we are going to Uyo, to pick calendars from the Bible Society office at number 2 Abak Road, I didn't even change the clothes i wore yesterday, I went and we got them and I had tonuae that opportunity to pick up speakon to connect the speakers.

EVENING

The road was busy and we were delayed against coming back to the village on or before 4pm, we got home about 5:23pm. I had to rush to test the instruments. At first, there was not sound and I had to spend time to trace the the connections again, finally, few minutes past 6pm, the sound came out and my mind was at peace. The microphone test and the program commenced a out 7:13pm which it will not be so tomorrow.

The Crusade had praise and worship, prayer session, choir ministration. To show the support of the vilage council who donated chairs to be used in the Crusade, the vilage head on behalf of the community was given the opportunity to thank God on beof the people of Obotme, and encouraged all to take serious participation. Immediately after that was the message tagged BE Anxious for Nothing from Philippians 4:6. The preacher in his sermon charged the community to worry less for God os in control of everything we need as He has been doing. This message ended with prophetic declarations and hopeful prayer points to end the day one of the event at 9:30pm
