It is another day to share my engagements with you all. God bless the Steemians and those working hard to maintain the status of the steemit community.

It was a hectic day, running with the clock ticking because the target is set to meet up. Let's say having just 6 days to get the church land ready for a temporary structure to be erected, ready for the 7 anniversary celebration on the 12th of April, 2026 as the church strongly accepted to leave a rented primary school hall to her permanently.

We understand the implications. We counted the cost, but time needs to match with the resources. Personnels are working tirelessly from last week to see that the set target is achieved up to 98% before Sunday.

All Hands on Deck on the church Land

I woke up with the day buzzing with lots of thinking. “Where your treasure is, that is where your heart is”. This adage becomes real day by day because I go to the land on a daily basis. Around 7am, I rushed to the site, and committed members were already working. Even children did not sit on the fence. Rather, all hands were on deck to get done. They were packing and leveling the site for whatever should be done on or before Thursday.

We were working until 1pm, and I had to move and check other aspects of the anniversary preparation. This time, I was with the printer of our program and awards before taking them for framing. By 3pm, it was not done at Ibiam Street, Uyo. I refused to leave the printing press until my job was done.

Spending time to print and frame Award

At some point, I was hungry together with the 3 boys who worked with me. We had some snacks to boost our strength. The person to frame the work after accepting our price told me to come the next day for the awards.

I left to rest for less than 30 minutes and later went to the University of Uyo mini stadium where the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria had a novelty match to commemorate the 180 celebration since the advent of The Presbyterian Church from Scotland to Nigeria in 1846 by Masterton Hope Waddell.

The friendly match was played between Akwa Synod and Abasi Ibom Synod. These two were once one Synod, but for the purpose of expansion and for regional development, the church further split into two on 2nd September 2023.

I was the Commentator of the Match

Although I arrived at the stadium late, I was told to run commentary of the match. I am. Y God's grace, a multitalented personality,multitask and result-oriented. I did it wonderfully even with my slow health recovery. It ended in praise as Akwa Synod defeated their sister Synod by a lone goal.

The game ended at about 6:17pm. The sky was heavy and ready to drop. Fortunately, I was given a lift to the house where it later rained seriously. I went to the house and had some rest before having online prayers that took me to bedtime after I had my dinner.

It was a busy day but very rewarding as I was able to achieve 95% of my goals for the day. How was your own day, I guess you were on point, too? God bless you until I come your way again.
