The Diary Game Wednesday , January 14

It rained early this morning, but by the time I was ready to go out it had turned into a sunny day. Apparently we will have four days of rain starting tomorrow, and I do believe it, the sky is real dark already. Yes it is night, but the clouds look like real dark rain clouds.

Well my day was exactly the same, the routine I make every day, walk to the waterfront, see the sea, look at the fishermen and then go to the pool hall. I am a moderately good player, and am one of the best at this particular pool hall. Today I played with a guy whom I always have to give a 15 point handicap. We play straight pool, the best out of 120 points wins, so while I need 61 points he only needs 46. I have always beaten him easily with this handicap but today was his day. I mean he was beating me 4-0 until I finally won one game. Then he won another and I had to put all I had to finish with a 5-5 draw. Not a good day for me.

After that I came home and watched football, mostly I watched the african cup semi finals as the other games available were just cup games which are not too exciting. The African cup games were not quite as good as I expected as the four teams decided to make sure to not concede a goal before attacking so the games were predictable. In the end Senegal beat Egypt with a Sadio Mane goal, and Morocco beat Nigeria on penalties. So the Sunday final will be Morocco-Senegal. I make no predictions, both teams are good, with Morocco having the edge because they play at home.

After that I have mostly been reading a science fiction novel and getting bored. Not much of a day, but I expect tomorrow will be better.
