Hello my dear steemians, how are you all doing today. Its my first time posting on this community, I hope àm welcome here
I will talking about something that many people especially women silently struggle with which is hormonal imbalance

Do you often feel tired or weak, even after eating and resting well?

It's not your fault, it's your hormones that are making you feel that way.
Hormones are like messengers in women's bodies when they're not balanced, it affects everything in their system.

Even doing small chores can make you feel so weak. I felt that way too, tired for no reason, even after eating healthy and sleeping well. At the beginning I thought it was just stress. But no matter how much I rest or how well I eat, the tiredness and fatigue don't go away.

So after some time, I decided to go for a proper check-up and test, and that was when I found out that I had a hormonal imbalance. I was not taking everything seriously at first because I was like, "So it's my hormones that have been stressing me out all this while," so I don't think it's a big issue.

Not until the doctor explained everything to me clearly that it's more than what I think and started telling me that I must have been seeing the signs since puberty, but I didn't know what they meant.

Then he started telling me the symptoms I have been having, which are irregular and painful periods, mood swings and weight gain or weight loss, which is true.

Changes in mood, weight, acne skin and menstrual cycle

There are always changes in these areas, especially as a woman, but when these changes become uncomfortable and too much, then it's a sign that something is going on and you need to listen to your body and go for a check-up.

In my own case, I do get the mood swing issues; one minute I am fine, and suddenly I am being emotional or sad for absolutely no reason.

Sometimes I can be harsh too, and then my period becomes so painful and irregular. I thought it was because I eat sugary things maybe that's why the cramps were that bad.

I even had to stop eating sugary things, but the pain didn't stop until I later knew it was hormonal imbalance. And let's talk about acne.

Acne is a normal thing, even though it can be annoying, but hormonal acne is worse and can be painful and frustrating. If your hormones are not okay, they will keep coming.

How to manage and control hormonal imbalance

There are ways to manage and reduce the symptoms of hormonal imbalance. Here are some things that helped me and can help someone too.

  1. Eat a balanced, healthy meal: I started eating clean and healthy, like eating lots of vegetables, healthy fats, and food with fibre and proteins. I also reduced sugary foods because they can make the symptoms worse. And I really see changes.

  2. Having enough sleep: this one is so important I don't joke with my sleep. I make sure I rest well. Having poor sleep can mess with mood and energy levels.

  3. Take recommended supplements from your doctor: I was given supplements from my doc, and they really help, and using omega-3 acids helps also. Please don't self-medicate; always speak to professionals.

  4. Manage stress: make sure to take things slow; stress can make everything worse if you do too much. Give yourself breaks.

  5. Stay hydrated: drink enough water; it really helps to flush out toxins and support health, including hormones.

  6. Exercise regularly, but don't do too much: just do light exercise like moving around and stretching it really helps to keep the body active and support hormonal balance.

So in conclusion, hormonal imbalance is real and can really affect many parts of your life. Be sure to listen to your body, take good care of yourself and seek help when needed.
