The diary post - From Sleepless Night to 9–0 Victory — How My Chaotic Monday Somehow Turned Out Great 16/03/2026
THE WEEKDAYS BEGINS
Hello everyone 👋
Let me start today’s diary post with a small confession.
This Monday did not start like a responsible adult’s Monday.
In fact… it started in a way that would make productivity coaches shake their heads in disappointment.
Because while most people slept peacefully through the night, I didn’t sleep at all.
Yes — the whole night.
One minute it was midnight, then suddenly it was 2am… then 4am… and before I knew it, the birds were already starting their morning choir outside.
At that point I just accepted defeat.
Sleep finally came to rescue me a few minutes past 6 in the morning.
So technically my Monday started when everyone else was already halfway into their morning.
And when did I wake up?
Past 11am.
Yes… on a Monday
Once I finally dragged myself out of bed, the first thing my body demanded was food. Not a snack. Not tea. Proper food.
Luckily, there was something perfect waiting.
My brother and I ate bitterleaf soup with garri, the same soup that caused all the kitchen activity on Saturday.
Now let me tell you something about bitterleaf soup — it has a way of resetting your entire system. After eating it, you suddenly start feeling like life is manageable again.
Energy returned.
Hunger disappeared.
Peace restored.
But peace didn’t last long.
Because soon it was time for house duty.
And today’s assignment was not a light one.
It was my turn to wash the toilet.
Now nobody wakes up excited for this task, but once you start cleaning and see the difference, it becomes strangely satisfying. After a good scrubbing session, everything was shining again.
I stepped back, looked at the work, and nodded like a proud contractor inspecting a finished building.
Job well done!.
Later in the day, I started feeling something else creeping in — fatigue.
Not the tiredness from doing too much… but the one that comes from not exercising for too long.
And that’s when I realized something shocking.
I hadn’t been to the gym once since this holiday started.
That needed to change.
So I headed out and finally visited the gym again.
Of course, because it had been a while, my muscles immediately reminded me that they had been ignored.
Lifting those weights today felt like my body was saying:
"Oh… so now you remember we exist?"
By the time I finished, I could already feel the familiar post-gym soreness loading for tomorrow.
But honestly, it felt really good to be back.
Now the night… the night was where things became historical.
My brother and I decided to play PES — our usual football rivalry.
Normally our matches are competitive.
But tonight?
Tonight was different.
My boys came out like they had something to prove.
Goals started entering one after another.
Before my brother could recover, the scoreboard showed something unbelievable.
9 – 0
the PES game scorelines, Real
Madrid is my team
--
Yes.
Nine.
To.
Zero.
That instantly became the new house record for the biggest defeat.
Let’s just say my brother quietly accepted his fate and went to bed carrying that loss like emotional luggage.
I don’t think he’ll forget this one anytime soon
Looking back, this Monday turned out to be surprisingly full.
A sleepless night, a late start, good soup, toilet cleaning duty, a return to the gym, and ending the day with a historic PES victory.
Not bad for a day that technically started at 11 in the morning.
