Diary Game: A Rainy Day, Hospital And Eye Check Up

Good day everyone, hope you are all doing well? It's @queenchuks again. Going to the hospital for my eye check up is not really what I look up to seriously. I have been on this journey for 4 years but every appointment makes me feel tense and I don't know why, maybe because I get to see a lot of people struggling with their sight, those with band aid on their eyes that just had their surgeries and even kids it's makes me feel a kind of way but then it still gives me hope that I am not alone in this journey.

I had an appointment with my ophthalmologist today, needed to check my eye pressure and also my glasses. I had to wake up very early today because the hospital was always crowded and if I didn't go on time I would be there till evening. I tidied up the house, took my bath and had my breakfast then I dressed up and left for the hospital. I decided to trek some distance because I have been indoors for two days without leaving the house. I put a call through to my friend so he will keep me company while I trek and we talked and had a chit chat over the phone and he promised to come pick me up when I'm done. I ended the call when I entered a tricycle heading to the hospital. Of course I wouldn't want to disturb other passengers in the tricycle with my calls.

I got to the hospital and there were already 15 people ahead of me. I nearly fainted cos what do you mean after rushing to be here on time there were already people before me. I calmed down and went to get my file and handed over to the nurses at the reception and after 40 minutes I was called in to check my vitals and everything was normal my blood pressure and my pulse then I went back to wait for the next phase of the checkup which I was called after 1 hours to check my eye pressure and also my vision acuity and it was bad anyway. After that I waited to see the chief ophthalmologist for the final consultation, that took another 1 hour and when I saw him he said everything looks ok but he will need to give me an eye drop and also change my glasses because the one I had has scratched so I left the frame with him so I will go to pick it on Thursday.

By the time I was done with the doctor, my friend was already outside waiting for me and he came with his bike. We went to make some transactions at the bank then it started raining heavily. We had to wait for the rain to subside even after we were done with the transaction. The rain lasted for 30 minutes, then we headed home after the rain subsided. We stopped by to get lunch at a local spot where we got roasted yam.

I had lunch when I get home and had a short nap because I needed that rest after all the flashes of light in my eyes. I woke up and it was already night, took my bath and had dinner. Thank you for sharing my day with me. Till we meet again in my next episode. Byee!!
