The Diary Game: A Busy Day Of Hustle(12/05/2026)

Greetings everyone, I am Emmanuel with @smithbillz as my username here on Steemit. I couldn't wake up early today because of how sweet the sleep was towards the morning hour when I woke up around 6am to use the toilet. I lied to myself that I will wake up before 7am and prepare for work since I didn't have much chores to do in the morning but how I woke up by past 8am still remained a surprise to me. I took my bath as fast as I could, got dressed and reported at work.

I was expecting my boss to shout at me when I get there but her reaction was different. I went to my duty post and took over from my coworker who stood in for me. I attended to a customer who came in to make transaction, I counted the cash more than three times before giving it to him. He withdrew twenty thousand so it was a big amount to me and I needed to be sure that I gave out the right amount so I won't have to pay with my salary.

In the afternoon, I was very hungry and my strength began to fail me so I sipped the garri I had brought with me to work. I didn't have breakfast before leaving the house because I had nothing at home except garri and I didn't also have the time to sip it at home either. My colleagues joined me and one thought of buying groundnut for us to sip the garri with but he feared that he would be questioned as it's against the rules of our company for us to buy anything during working hours.

I continued work after I had my lunch and towards the middle of the afternoon, my mommy called me to know how I am doing and I told her of how things are going and she told me to just try my best and stay for some months so I will gather money to enroll in school and get my certificate or learn work. I ended the call when a customer came in and I had to attend to her, rain started without a sign and I had to rush and fold some items that were displayed outside and take them in.

The gutter close to the shop was smelling badly while it was raining and I almost vomited. I sat inside to avoid the bad smell and in the evening, I closed and went to a store and bought three cups of rice and other ingredients for cooking. I reached the house, cooked and ate. I'm happy to be here and I'm looking forward to a great experience, thank you steemit.
