The Diary Game: Eating Mum's Food And Washing Of Clothes 12/1/2026

My mum prepared food very early on Monday because she thought I was going to return back to the city, I told her I might return on Monday but I am still enjoying my stay here. She brought my favourite soup, egusi and then asked me to eat. I ate the food and finished before I took my clothes to go and see a friend of mine.

When I went out, I didn't see him, they told him he went to go and harvest palm fruit at the riverine side, I couldn't go there so I went back home to go and do laundry, the clothes I took and wore in the village were dirty, very dirty, so I took them outside to wash.

I removed the clothes I wore and began to wash the clothes. I was very tired after washing it, no washing machine was here so I did it the local way.

When I was through with the washing of clothes, I went inside and took my bath again so that I will sleep. Since I came here, I don't think I have slept very well in the village especially in the afternoon and since I wasn't expecting any visitor, I went and slept.

My mother came back from the village and met me still sleeping, she tapped on me and told me she was back, I asked her what we were going to eat, she told me and then I gave her some cash to prepare food. I wanted to help her but my sister would not want let me.

I wore my hoodie in the evening and went outside to go and walk round the village. There were places I couldn't go so I decided to step out and see the village by myself. A very cold evening here but I loved it, this is the weather I do miss while I am away in the city.

I didn't want to go far because my mother will be worried about me, I returned back to the house. When I arrived the house, my mother gave me food to eat and after eating I freshened up and left the kitchen to go and rest.
