The Diary Game: It Feels Good To Be Back Home To My Family 23/2/2026

It feels good to be back home from that long distance journey. Seeing my family in one piece after staying off for like 4 days from them feels so good. I miss my son, I miss my wife and I miss home, this is where home is. I came back very early this morning and I met my wife in her shop, she and my son were having a drink this morning.

I asked why he isn't in school and I was told he developed fever this morning and so he couldn't go. I took him the the chemist woman that is just by our compound and she examined him then gave me some drugs for him. We came back and I asked him to be given breakfast.

Later, I went to go the house and dropped the bags, as we are talking, I didn't even drop the bags I came back with when I saw that my boy wasn't okay. So, I went back home and dropped the bags and bath, the journey was long so I needed to freshen up when I came back.

After freshening up, I called my wife and I told her I would need to sleep small because of the long distance I travelled. So I slept and since my son was still with her mother in the shop, I wasn't disturbed at all. When I woke up, I strolled down to the shop.

I sat with them in the shop, I served people that came to the shop to buy drinks while my wife concentrated on those that came to buy foodstuffs and other groceries like that.

Our little boy was playing up and down and it was funny the way he was sick in the morning and when I took him to the chemist woman, he became fine, that's the power of being a dad and secondly, I know he missed me.

When we closed from the shop, I carried out son and we went back to the house. My wife who was the one that cooked gave us food to eat. We ate and thanked her then I gave them what I brought back from my brother's place.
