Step-by-Step: Designing a Cartoon Car with Sketchbook Pro

Hello lovely friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful day. Today, I want to share something exciting that I worked on this morning.

I woke up inspired to draw a cartoon-style car 🚗
I created the artwork digitally using Sketchbook Pro. I’ve been using Sketchbook for over 6 years, and it’s still one of the easiest and most beginner-friendly apps for artists and illustrators.

I drew the car in four different views, and here are the stages of my process:

First Stage
I started with the front view of the car. I sketched the full shape including the front glass, seats, steering wheel, side mirrors, headlights, and tyres.

Second Stage
Next, I drew the back view. This included the back glass, back lights, rear seat view, and tyres.

Third Stage
Then, I moved on to the side view of the car—and I added a serious-looking driver 😄

Fourth Stage
Finally, I created a 3D view of the car. I coloured it light green, and I used light brown underneath to show that the car had driven through a dusty road. The entire drawing took me just about one hour to complete.

In the end, I combined all four views into one final piece. It was fun, creative, and very satisfying to work on!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and go through my artwork. Feel free to drop your comments—I’d love to hear your thoughts! 💚
