A violin is a stringed musical instrument of treble pitch (the highest-pitched) held under the chin and played by drawing a horsehair bow across the strings. The instrument can be played by both males and females, as well as by adults and children.
Materials used for the drawing
- Plain white paper
- Pencil
- Colours
- Eraser
- Cutter
- Ruler
Step 1
I began by first writing my name and date and after that, I drew the neck of the violin using a pencil and ruler. I also drew the pegbox and the scroll which is found at the top end of the neck.
Step 2
I drew the body of the violin. I also drew the chinrest found on the body of the violin.
Step 3
Here, I drew the fine tuners, the musical symbol that looks like the letter s, the bridge which holds the string in the middle, and the four pegs found on the pegbox.
Step 4
At this step, I coloured the body of the violin using brown and orange colours.
Step 5
I coloured the chinrest, the fine tuners and the musical symbol that looks like the letter S using a 10B pencil.
Step 6
I coloured the pegbox and scroll using brown and orange colours and then coloured the pegs using a 10B pencil.
Step 7
I coloured the strings using a yellow colour and I shaded the remaining part of the neck using a 6B pencil.
