The Diary game: How I spent my workers day (1/5/2026)

Hello friends, happy new month to you, it's been a while. I hope everyone is doing well. In my country, Nigeria, May 1st is workers day and mostly goes with a public holiday. I decided to use the day well, so instead of waking up at my usual 5am, I woke up by 7am and started by tidying up my house, then I heard a message come into my phone. When I checked it, I saw that I had an appointment for a free eye test by 10am and the message came in by 9am, so I doubled up on whatever I was doing so as to meet up. On a normal day, the card for this particular place was expensive but because it was workers day, they carried out the test free of charge. All I had to do was pay my transport down there.

Since it was almost 10am when I finished preparing,I left without eating and when I got to the venue of the eye test, I saw that some people were already there. My data was taken and I had to wait my turn.

By 12 midday, it was my turn for the eye test. It tookba while as they had to test l my sight with different font size of letters and my eye pressure amongst other things.

I finished at about 1pm and everything prescribed for me came to a total of 80,000 naira, that is equivalent to the price of 1026 Steem. I told them I will get back to them and went home.

When I got home, I decided to eat for the first time since morning. I cooked noodles and ate, then decided to write my note of lessons which took me till evening.

When I got tired,I took a nap for some hours and took my dinner which was afang soup and garri.

I ended my day by watching a very intresting American movie titled 'Second Wind'. This movie was about revenge, an elder sister planned with her younger sister's husband to revenge the younger sister for what the younger sister had done to her years before. They went to the extent of taking the husband's death and making it look like the younger sister killed her husband. I really learnt a lot from the movie.
