Assalamu Alaikum, today is an important day in Bangladesh. February 12, the thirteenth national election. Today, the government was elected by the general public. For the past 18 months, there was an interim government. Today, the general public will vote for their favorite party. Today, Section 144 has been imposed across the country, except for some urgent services. Voting will start at 7:30 am and will continue until 4:30 pm. Today, a national election and a referendum are being held at the same time. The referendum is for some reforms and some changes to the constitution.

I was doing farming at home since morning, irrigating some land. After irrigating, I let the rice that I boiled last night dry in the sun. In the morning, my parents and the rest of the family went to the polling station to vote. Since there is a road next to the house, many people go this way.

I was taking a bath, having lunch and then leaving for the polling station when an unusual incident happened in front of our house. A common man was riding a bike when he saw an army patrol car. He stopped him, let out the air from his bike and took away the engine plug. The government has announced that bike movement will be banned for 3 days, due to which the law and order forces are in a very strict position. The people around my house have gathered here, although this picture is after the administration left.

I went to the polling station and saw that it was quite empty in the morning. Many people had already come and voted. I took my voter slip and went to the designated booth. They checked me and gave me two ballots and put permanent marker ink on my finger. I voted, took a picture of the ballot I had voted on and came out. They were campaigning for the candidates at the polling station and were filling it with small leaflets. I didn't stay there long and went home.

Voting is over and counting is underway. Daripalla won by 581 votes in our center. There is another center next to our house. Here, the counting of votes took time and the excited people vandalized the police car, as a result of which 3 joint forces came after some time and 4 rioters were arrested. The results of the vote were announced in the presence of the administration and left. Here, BNP (paddy sheaf symbol) won by a margin of 247 votes. We went out at some point in the night to check the results of the surrounding centers, but since the situation was not good, we are returning home. In the end, BNP was elected MP by a huge margin in our center.
