Week-06: "Explore and Review"- The city's attractive restaurants, cafes, and food courts

I’m delighted to participate a competition in this particular week hosted by @mahadisalim called Week-06: "Explore and Review"- The city's attractive restaurants, cafes, and food courts. It’s a wonderful opportunity to introduce a renowned restaurant situated my living side. I choose a restaurant for this competition an international brand fast food called KFC. It was founded by an American businessman called Colonel Harland Sanders in 1930 in Kentucky, USA.

I visited today KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) at Mohammadpur branch, Dhaka today. This is located at tajmahal road. The restaurant mainly serves fried and crispy chicken, burgers, chicken wings, popcorn chicken, chicken strips, and different kinds of combo meals. They also have French fries, soft drinks, and some side items. One of the main specialities of KFC is its crispy fried chicken. Their burgers and chicken meals are also popular because they are filling and easy to have with friends or family. The restaurant is a good place for people who enjoy fast food, especially different types of chicken dishes.

When I reached KFC, the outside looked clean and easy to recognize. The KFC sign was clearly visible, so it was not difficult to find the restaurant. I visited there off peak hour like 12 pm or something. There were very few people there, like 5/6 people, which made the place very calm & quiet. The inside was clean, decorative and well arranged. There was enough seating space for customers, although it could become a little crowded during busy hours.

The interior was lightly decorated, not overly fancy ,clean, and nicely welcoming enveroment. The lighting was bright enough to make the place feel comfortable, and the tables and chairs were arranged in a practical way. There were some table arranged in a way that only 2 people can use it, similarly for 4 people and some corner was like for family and group gathering. I think the environment is suitable for different types of customers. Families can enjoy their meals together, friends can sit and talk, and even someone visiting alone can have a comfortable meal. There are no particular place for taking pictures or short videos like some other restaurent, but indoor environment was suitable for taking picture or something.

I ordered a bucket of crispy chicken with 8 pieces, 6 hot wings, and 6 chicken strips for me & my family. As soon as the food arrived, the smell was really tempting. The aroma of the fried chicken made me hungry even before it was handed. My order type was takeaway. The chicken looked fresh, hot, and nicely crispy. I especially liked the crunchy outer layer and the way the chicken was fried. Overall, the food was fresh, tasty, and satisfying, and we really enjoyed it.

The price is a little higher compared to some regular fast-food restaurants, but I think the quality is quite good for what you get along with it’s brand value. The 8-piece crispy chicken bucket costs around Tk 1,000, while 6 hot wings 329 tk and 6 strips are around Tk 529 tk, depending on the current menu and offers. Occationaly there being some offer. For one person, eating at KFC can be a little expensive if you order several items. However, it is still possible to eat on a low budget by choosing a small meal, a burger, or one of their combo offers instead of ordering a large bucket.

The staff members were very polite and humble during my visit. However, taking the order took around 20 minutes, even in an off peak hour, which felt a little long to me. After placing the order, billing process was pre-payment system. After completing the payment system, the customer was given a token no & take some time to process the food ready. The food was served through a self-service system, so I collected my food myself when it was ready. I did not face any major problems during my visit. If a customer has any issue with the food or order, I think the staff are available to listen and help. Overall, the service was okay, but I would prefer a faster ordering process.

The tables and chairs were clean and properly arranged. There were also some sofa seats, which made the place more comfortable for sitting. The floor and overall environment were quite clean, calm, and comfortable during my visit. I also noticed that the food serving area was very clean and well maintained, which gave me a good feeling about the hygiene of the restaurant. However, this particular branch does not have a washroom for customers, maybe available only for branch staff.

Among all the items I tried, I liked the crispy chicken, some types of their Burgers and chicken strips the most. They were fresh, and tasty, and I really enjoyed them. On the other hand, I did not like the Naga chicken,Curry Crunch, Smoky Red Chicken, and fried rice that much because their taste was not really my preference.

My family members were also very satisfied after having the food.I’m a big fan of KFC & already visited this specfic branch several times, and I would definitely like to come back again in this particular branch or any other branch.

I am sure I will visit KFC many more times in the future, as long as minimum one branch will remain around me .
