DAILY DEVOTIONAL : THERE IS POWER WHEN THE CHURCH PRAYS

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him

The availability of God's power at work in the church or a believer's life is proportional to the prayer level of that believer or the church. Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Our text this morning is what is still happening to the church till now. The church has a Herod in the witchcraft coven, demonic altars, marine altars etc. These agents of Satan afflict the church with diverse sicknesses, poverty, negativity etc. James was the first casualty of the prayerlessness of the church. Perhaps the church members were too busy with their work, business, school etc and there was no time to come to church for prayers. Perhaps some people said, God really understands my situation and the economy isn't friendly. This is the situation of the church now.

Peter was next to be arrested. Where was God when James was killed? Where was that Angel that God promised to give charge to keep his people in all their ways? As long as the church is too busy to pray, Satan too will be very busy to afflict the members one after the other and God will still be God because God can't move on earth without believers authorizing him in the place of prayers

When the church woke up from slumber, Peter was already in prison with chains. Brethren, there are many believers that are in demonic prison because the church has lost its powers in the place of prayers.
When the church prayed without ceasing, what happened was, Psalms 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. was activated that same night Peter was to be killed. The church now realized that James would not have died.

Child of God, don't wait till the devil finishes your health, your family members, your finances even the church. Attack that negativity now before it proceeds further. Let the church wake up from slumber and pray without ceasing because you don't know who is the next victim. You don't know which family the devil will strike next.

People gathered in the church, there was no excuse. Everyone came out it was not only prayer band members but the church because it is written in Mark 11:17
And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

A church that is not a place of prayers shall become a place of demonic attacks, afflictions, sudden death, diverse sicknesses etc. A home where the wife and husband are too busy to make a house of prayers, shall become a home of commotion, fighting, strife, a carpet for demonic operation etc.

May God help us to be effective in the place of prayers in Jesus name
