It's funny to know that this story is what people used as a metaphor to describe people who aren't who they portray to be. They look very innocent, but inside, they are wolves in sheep clothing. How did this term come about? It happened thousands of years back when man lived as hunters in the forest while animals were the most dominant, even owning distinct territories.

Story

In the heart of Madagascar, a pack of wolves hovered around a cliff observing two shepherds and their sheep. The shepherds do take their sheep farther in search of food, and they are always armed in case of predators. The wolves envied these sheep and craved their bodies every night, but how would they have the best of lunch and dinner without being harmed?

They had considered it a mission impossible until one of them told the pack that he had a plan and that he would trick the sheep because they are always sheepish. The next day, the wolf set a trap for one of the sheep because he knew it was the only one that would fall for its trap and not all. He used one as an example to enter the flock.

No matter how sheepish a flock may be, they can't be fooled all at once. Luckily for the wolf, he made a sheep stray from the flock without being noticed. He grabbed the sheep by its neck and killed it. He then took the body to the pack and celebrated his success and still told them not to consume the meat because he had other plans for it.

The wolf then entered into the body of the sheepskin, removing every organ and just leaving it with its skin. The wolf then used a long, slim rope to join the body for the wolf to make his move. He successfully went back to the flock, and the shepherd thought he had found his lost sheep, boy knowing it was a wolf.

The wolf lived inside the sheep's clothing and was unnoticed by the flock. He adapted to their lifestyle and waited for the day the shepherd would leave the flock without close watch to attack. This opportunity never came, but he still has endured and was even eating the sheep's food. The wolf became the healthiest of the sheep in the flock and even pretended to flow well with other sheep. The shepherd was happy that at last, one of the sheep had grown.

The opportunity came in the night when the shepherds were asleep. The wolf took one of the sheep to the forest as if it were searching for food. He told the sheep that he found a clover that can make him as fat as he is. The sheep followed, and that was the end. He did that for three consecutive nights, and three sheep were missing. The shepherds became worried because if predators came, the flock would have made sounds.

The shepherds then decided to inject all sheep for them to be free from worms. When it came to the wolf's turn, he was silent and thought it wouldn't harm him. A day after the injection, the wolf slumped and died, and the sheep's clothing began to fade. It was then that the shepherd discovered that there was a wolf in their midst, in sheep's clothing. That was when the sheep came to a realization that they should always trust their instincts instead of overlooking certain things. The wolf was burned, and that ended the story of the wolf who hid in sheep's clothing to gain advantage of them.

Moral Lessons
  • To all the single people out there, before marrying, you need to be very discerning because a man can be very attractive and loving during your date with him, but when you get married to him, he shows his true colors. This also applies to women as well.
  • The story teaches that appearances can be deceiving and that we should look beyond that.
  • Don't trust someone completely because he's doing something most people aren't doing. Find out why he's doing so to avoid being trapped later.
  • Don't be deceitful and try to trick someone with the intention of exploiting. There's no peace for the wicked, and they'll always be exposed someday.
  • Masks don't last forever. They fade eventually. If you're hiding the real you, just know that it would manifest someday.

Hello, @bossj23

It's a pleasure to see you've accepted my challenge,I'm glad you took the time to participate. I think you could have created something original, something completely invented by you and not reinvent a well-known fable. You have a talent for that. The images look great.

PS: I still did my plagiarism and AI checks, it's my job.

You just made my day. Thank you so much. I really appreciate. 🫂🫂. I thought of things to bring up, but ran out of ideas. 😁

In the case of Ai checks, I did that already and my post is super free..... So I would not need to defend anything.

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.

I completely agree with your first moral statement. I've specifically seen this within religious groups where both men and women lie about their character.

Many, during courtship, pretend to be the meek sheep. Thoughtful, polite, but once they have their prey. They show their true colors. There are no more manners, no more consideration. In the case of us women, we must remain silent, even if one of us tries to say something; the "pastors" will always be on the side of..."From the head of the household." (the wolf) What can an unprotected sheep do?

That's why, my friend, I've been observing the discrepancies of a flock for quite some time. In the end, there are more wolves in sheep's clothing than one might think.

Thank you so much

This is beautiful and creative, Bossj.
But come to think of it, why that wolf come get your eyes? Abi, am I the only one who observes this? 😄

It's difficult to tell the secret in a man's heart. Even Bryan C.J in an English medieval case once said that;

The devil himself knoweth not the intention of a man.

And Bowen CJ, affirmed that, "The state of a man's mind is as much a fact as the state of his digestion."

You can't know people, until time and chance reveal them to you. Even when choosing a spouse. You can't know everything about them, no matter how hard you try. An event can happen in future that would change their worldview. A new political aspirant could emerge that s/he'd support, much contrary to your belief.

What matters is knowing how to react when these issues arises. Because as humans, we keep evolving. Some move from good to corrupt while others move from unkind to empathetic.

You're right in every stance. People become wolves in sheep clothing because of circumstances. We keep evolving S you said. Thanks for stopping by.

It doesn't have my eyes oh 😂😂😂😂
