From Morning Rush to Campus Vibes at Abia State Poly [26-11-25]

Hello, fellow Steemians!

I hope you are all having a fantastic week so far. I am delighted to share a little diary of how my day went today. It was a typical day in the life of a Nigerian student—it started with a bit of panic and a lot of running, but it ended with good vibes.

Come along with me!

My day started in absolute chaos. You know those mornings where the alarm clock betrays you? That was me today. I woke up, saw the time, and realized I was in a serious haste to get to school. I threw my clothes on, grabbed my bag, and practically flew out the door.

I was speed-walking toward campus, sweating and stressed, when I had to make a quick stop at a popular corner shop near the school to catch my breath and grab a quick drink.

That’s when I bumped into a familiar face. See that guy in the picture standing there in the brown shirt with the black backpack? That’s actually my close friend from school that I met there!

I walked in all panicked, and he was just standing there chilling. I shouted, "Guy, how far?

Are we not late?" He just laughed at my rushing. Seeing him actually calmed me down a bit. We exchanged a quick handshake, and he told me I actually still had a few minutes before the lecturer arrived. Thank God for friends who keep you grounded!

We walked down the school compound until we finally saw the sign: Abia State Polytechnic Aba. Beside there you will see our own department for ACC student

Seeing that sign is always a relief; it means I made it before the gates get too crowded or the lecturers shut the door. I took a second to look at the list of skills on the board—Palm Production, ICT, Fashion—and reminded myself why we go through this hustle every day.

We made our way to the main block—that big yellow multi-story building. The campus was buzzing today.

Students were everywhere, people walking up and down, and the sun was out in full force. You can see the banner for the Department of Banking and Finance fluttering on the balcony. It was noisy and busy, but I finally got to my class, breathless but present!

After the lectures and the noise of the main building, I needed a break. I headed over to the church when coming back from campus.

It was so different from the rest of the day. It was cool, quiet, and peaceful inside. Sunlight was streaming in through the arched windows, hitting the white plastic chairs and the wooden pews. It was the perfect place to just sit for five minutes, made some prayers and clear my head, and recover from the morning rush before heading home.

CONCLUSION

Even though the day started with me running like an athlete to beat the time, it ended up being a great day. I met my guy at the shop, I made my classes, and I found some peace and quiet. Now, I’m definitely setting two alarms for tomorrow!

Thank you so much for reading my post! I hope you enjoyed seeing a glimpse of my school and my day.

Have you ever had a morning where you woke up late and had to rush like crazy? (Onye omere amarala-“igbo lang”)

Best regards, [@dannyben39]
