Where is it located and how to get here?

Partapur Meerut Metro Station at the time being on the outskirts of Meerut which is close to Indian capital Delhi. This is at the time being Metro's last station but it will soon come up to Modipuram. This is not only part of Metro but also integrated with the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System..

The second phase will cover a distance from Partapur to Modipuram which will be a total distance over 23 km from Meerut South next station from Partapur to Modipuram which will be the last station of Meerut Metro.

A brief history of the Station, Founder, established period, if there is any communication medium

 

The Meerut Metro is part of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS, with several contractors handling its construction but the main job is being done by L&T including this station.

Incidentally this is part of a duel transportation, Metro and Rapid train while the Metro will cover the city transport the Rapid will cover Meerut-Delhi rout with its extended rout of 70 km within 55 minutes.

Provide clear details about their activities. How long is the transport station open?

 
The Metro is under trial run but Rapid Trains are operating from August, 2024. The Rapid has a maximum operational speed up to 180 km/hr. As I said Meerut Metro was to start operation in September 2025 but it's expected to commence within days.​

What are the facilities like? Electrical system, security system, etc.

 

As far the electrical system the power supply for the station and trains follows the RRTS corridor's setup, with a special dub Station in different spots. As far as I know from the sources available the system uses 25 kV AC overhead catenary for traction and ring main cables for reliable distribution. with 25 kV for traction and 33 kV via auxiliary sub-stations at each station for operations.

The government provide the best communication systems including the latest technology available to every staff member up to t right from top to grassroots level.

The security system that includes CCTV cameras throughout the station and trains, which is one of the main concern is present at every location being monitored by trained security staff. Maybe you will laugh but photography is not allowed so I was forced to delete several images by the security chief when shooting for this post.

As far as security fire and smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, emergency communication systems, alarms, and planned platform screen doors for crowd management and safety.

Accessibility features lifts ramps tactile paving is available like in all other Metro stations in India Partapur Metro Station uses complete accessibility features to support passengers. They also provide support to disable passengers through wheelchairs etc. There are enough lifts with good capacity, ramps with handrails on both sides and non-skid surfaces to ensure safe and easy mobility.​

Safety measures are installed at station approaches, platforms, stairways, and ramps to provide full support tp passengers. All floors have textured ground for a safe movement. ​

Signage is provided at the station for proper information at every possible spot including directional signs indicating lifts, exits, toilets, and emergency routes.​

It would be good to mention if there are any restrooms, toilets, etc. for passengers here

 

There are several toilets at every floor and sitting arrangement at platforms since the trains are short distance and available every five minutes there is no need for restrooms really but enough arrangement for sitting.

How is the work exchange here? How much is the transport ticket price for how many kilometers?

 

Partapur Metro Station, is part of the Delhi-Meerut RRTS and Meerut Metro network, that uses a distance-based fare structure with standard class tickets starting at ₹20 for short trips and reaching up to ₹180 for longer journeys like if you cover the full distance from Delhi to Meerut stations or vice versa.

They provide premium class fares at 50% extra. The fares might sound a little on higher side but the daily passengers save a lot of their time in transit so they don't mind paying this amount.

The fare are at an average of INR Rs2-3 per km or 0.4 to 0.5 Steem

To be honest, I have just arrived in India and yet to travel by any of this service but I was expecting that when I will be back in India the service will be fully operational however, the partial service between Meerut to Delhi is underway and attracting a lot of passengers as you can see the number of vehicles parked in the parking lot.

I am on the outer part of the city which is waiting the commencement of the full service eagerly and once this commences from here I will definitely use it as it will be times and money saving compared to private vehicle.

As far as shopping provision I saw a couple of retail shops there but I am sure once the services are fully operational the businesses will utilize the commercial spaces available for shopping, restaurants will open, and more ATMs will open at entry/exit areas.

I saw auto kiosks for ticketing as well for manual ticketing windows. The security check was strict as no one could enter without ticket or getting their bags through scanning machines.
