Today on Saturday 6th June 2026 I woke up at 5.35 am before the alarm rang. For a moment I wanted to sleep more, but I remembered it was Saturday and we had plans so I got up immediately. I think when you have something special to do, you wake up early without any reminder. Your body clock helps you in that.

I stood by the bed and did some light stretching, like touching my toes, rolling my neck, stretching my arms, just to wake my body and you don't expect much for a person my age.

After that I went to the washroom, brushed my teeth and splashed water on my face. The cool water opened my eyes properly. I did some toilet cleaning, oh yes, that's part of my duty, and came out as I have to a lot on Saturdays.

By 6:40 I filled up the cooler with enough water for the day. It felt good to do a small useful job first thing, as am used to do something everyday by completing a few tasks which make my day brighter. Then I left the scooter near the gate.

I cleaned the scooter. It needed attention, a little soap, water, and wiping. I enjoy these small tasks. By 7:15 the scooter was shining and ready.

My wife gave me a cloth and I dried the mirrors. My wife was preparing tea when I opened the gate and brough my scooter out.

She smiled and asked if I will have tea later. I promised to do a quick job washing the scooter and came in.

I sat on my laptop with a cup of tea and then decided to do the diary contest for today's post.

My wife was insisting for a visit to the mall so we decided to go for an outing . But before that I had to attend the senior citizens meeting held every weekend.

The air was fresh, and the weather felt calm in the early hours. I walked to the park thinking about small things like groceries to buy, a call from my director, and the new dish that I wanted to suggest to my wife wanted to try this weekend.

The walk to my favorite spot in the park. The temple had a few devotees and a soft smell of incense. I offered a small prayer and closed my eyes for a moment. The peace there always steadies me.

After the temple we drove to the mall. I enjoy seeing the people and the different shops. We window-shopped a bit, looked at some clothes.

We spent about one and a half hour in the mall doing window shopping mostly as we did not find what my wife was looking for. You know we shall be back to Australia in next few weeks where the season is too cold but here in India the season is hot so they have too few woolens.

Yeah, you can see me in this mirror in the mall

We wanted to buy vegetables so we moved to Reliance Vegetable store nearby and bought vegetables however, they are strict with photo and video rule so I did one secretly.

My wife liked a piece on display and tried to imagine how it would look with a pair of jeans. We did not buy much apart from a couple of fruits as our plan was simple outing and coffee.

We stopped at Cafe Coffee Day for our favorite Blueberry shake whch is not available anywhere els but only here. The place was cool and busy with soft music in the background. I ordered shake and watched at the counter where they were preparing it .

20260803_131912.jpg

We sat by the glass window and watched people passing. The shake tasted good as always, and the small conversations with my wife felt special.

We discussed plans for the evening and the movie Dhurandhar-2 which has just released only yesterday on OTT. This shake here costs a little too much but I love it so don't mind paying INR 350/ (75 Steem each) per glass.

20260803_131909.jpg

Time slipped by easily while sipping shake and by 3 we decided to return home. The roads were almost empty as the metro has reduced the load on the roads so the bike ride was fine.

The Metro has significantly reduced traffic congestion on roads from Modipuram to the main city. Before the metro opened, we used to face traffic jams driving during the peak hours due to heavy traffic.

Now, the metro corridor takes just 30 minutes to cross the main city Mall which has made our life easy.

I wasn't too hungry but we stopped at Kailash and had our lunch, a little late, but as were too hungry so the wait while they served was kind of irritating. The place is nice and still running despite shortage of commercial gas.

They have reduced number of items and focused mainly on main course of lunch and dinner. Since the area is close to our house so this is our regular restaurant.

At home I switched the cooler on and as my wife looked for her missed calls because she never carries her phone out while with me. That's the fun she gets not being on any social media apart from WhatsApp.

I began preparing for my instructions to the new management trainees which is due on Monday and then took a nap.

Meanwhile I was watching a match on TV between India and Afghanistan and posting comment on couple of contest posts.

Here I am giving you the screenshot because the actual shot gives my real ID out.

At this moment I felt as if my eyes were tired, you know the age makes its impact even on the fittest so took a short nap and got up at around 6 and watched news, and then went back to my project work. I soon brought it to the presentable position and then closed the app.

At about 6.30 I switched on the movie Dhurandhar-2, meanwhile my wife had prepared plain paranthas for us that we ate with leftover vegetable of okra The food was comforting as home food is always tasty.

While watching the movie we talked about the morning, how nice the temple felt, the little things we liked in the mall, and how the things we did were just right.

Meanwhile I cleaned the plates while my wife was watching the movie.

At about 9.30 pm the movie ended and then I finished small errands and by now I had written day's activities and now going to post it as a diary post of the day.

Now that I have done that I will lay down and think over the simple joys of the day, a clean scooter, a walk, the smell of incense. Days like this remind me that happiness always lives in small, shared moments. I am feeling grateful for a pleasant Saturday travel in my local area.

Your travel diary reflects a very beautiful and balanced day in which every moment from simple morning routine to evening family activities is described in a very natural way, especially your early rise, doing small daily tasks and then going out with your wife shows that you value pleasure as well as discipline in your life, mention of places like parks, temples, malls and cafes make your day more interesting and full while finally the comfort of home and Ending the day with a simple meal proves that true happiness lies not in big events but in small and beautiful everyday moments.

Todavía está joven porque desde que se levantó estuvo activo haciendo diferentes cosas.
Me encanta leer cuando los esposos se toman su tiempo para hacer salidas espontánea y disfruta de una rica bebida.
Éxito con su participación.
Muchas Bendiciones.. 🙏🏻

Thanks, yes, that's true! I keep myself active to keep fit which I consider is as good as going to gym. I may not be that young anymore but there is no change in my routine that I hope to carry on as long as I am alive. Thanks and my best regards young lady for your great understanding.
