Week 1 – Emotion Control
That first week was an eye-opener to me. I do quick to react before, but the lessons I learned show me that small breathing exercise and how to pause before I talk can help. One day which my friend provoke me, instead of shouting, I just left the spot, calm down, then later talk to him gently. It surprise me that I can hold myself like that.
Week 2 – Stress Relief
Stress can finish a person, especially with work and family problems. The lessons too makes do breathing exercises. I start to write my thoughts down every night to know the triggers, and I do share my problems with others for much better relief. I notice my head now clear, and I do sleep better.
Week 3 – Anger Control
This one is hard but it's useful. I easily got angry before, but with muscle relaxation exercise which I learned from the lessons, I know how to channel anger without fight.
Week 4 – Phobia Control
My fear of darkness was a big issue. The lesson guide me to face it little by little with easy steps. I start by exploring the nature at night and taking photos of the sky.At first my heart do race, but later I calm down.
Week 5 – Overcoming Depression
The week five really touch me. Depression do hold me sometimes, making me feel empty. But with spending time with family and friends, storytelling, encouragement, going to my favorite restaurant, eating my favorite fruit and exercising, I begin to have hope.
And here I am in the last six week with self examination.

Dealing with Good Events

When good things happen—like when I got new job, pass exam, or even small joy like spending time with my family members—I do try to appreciate it well and focus on that happiness. I do thank God, and celebrate with people close to me. For example, when I pass one tough exam, I didn't just relax, I use the success to ginger myself to study more for next time.
Dealing with Bad Events
However, my bad times wasn't easy at all. I got heartbreak, financial problems, and even health issues. And at the first, I just feel like giving up, but I later realize that running away won't solve anything. I talk to my trusted friends. I remember One time when my business fail, I almost lose hope, but I later start small again with a better planning.
My obstacles
Fear and doubt. Sometimes I do fear that I won't be able to succeed in one particular thing, and doubt myself too much. Also lack of support do obstruct me because—some people won't understand what I'm going through, this will make me to feel lonely.
Strategies I Adopted
However I really learn to pray and meditate frequently, I do write down my goals, and I do take things step by step. And therefore, physical activity like football deep breathing, muscle relaxation excersice really help to clear my head.
Mistakes I Made
Sometimes I do rush in making decisions, and also keep pain inside me instead of talking it out, and that one makes the burden to be so heavy.
Positive Aspects
The good side is that I don't give up. Every challenge which I face do make me stronger. I am more patient now, I know how to control my anger better, and I appreciate little wins that I have. Even my mistakes do teach me valuable lessons.
There will be a short story; read the story and express your own thoughts. |

Mehvin
Mistake: She always blame herself too much and thinking that she can't succeed. Because of that, she really abandon projects halfway and even quit jobs anyhow.
What she would have done: Instead of just running away, she could have try to finish small tasks one by one, and talk openly with people that will truly support her.
Mehvin’s Father
Mistake: He do thinks that her problem will just go with time, so he didn't take it very serious from the beginning. He only act when the problem reach the breaking point.
What he would have done: From the first signs of insecurity and job quitting, he would have sit down with her, listen very well, and brings professional help early.
The Police
Mistake: They only search for her physically, but didn't address the root cause of her mental struggle.
What they would have done: After finding her, they should have taken her quickly to mental health professionals instead of just handing her back to family.
The Psychiatrist
Mistake: The doctor tell her “you are not weak” but didn't give her practical steps to rebuild confidence.
What he could do: He should have design therapy or activities that will help her see her strength in action.
