Some time ago, I had the opportunity to visit the village hall of Gampong Blang, located in Syamtalira Aron sub-district, North Aceh Regency. I made this visit to attend the selection of integrated health post (Posyandu) cadres, organized by the village government and the local community. Gampong Blang is one of the villages within the Syamtalira Aron sub-district.

Upon arrival, the village hall was quite lively. Residents from various backgrounds were present to participate in the event. The village hall serves as the center of community activities, hosting deliberations, community meetings, and various development and community empowerment programs at the village level.

The selection of integrated health service post (Posyandu) cadres proceeded in an orderly manner and with a spirit of togetherness. Participants expressed their support for the prospective cadres, who will assist in providing community health services, particularly for pregnant women, toddlers, and children. Posyandu cadres play a crucial role in supporting village health programs, making their selection a highly meaningful event for the community.

Throughout the event, I observed high levels of enthusiasm from the residents. They actively engaged in discussions and provided input to select cadres capable of carrying out their duties effectively. The atmosphere of family and mutual cooperation was palpable, reflecting the strong social ties within the Gampong Blang community.

For me, this visit was a valuable experience, as I was able to witness firsthand the process of community participation in supporting village health programs. Activities like this demonstrate that successful development does not solely depend on the government, but also requires the active involvement of all residents.

I hope the selected Posyandu cadres will carry out their mandate well and benefit the community. May the Gampong Blang village hall continue to be a productive place for various social, development, and community empowerment activities, for the future progress of the village.
