My Step-by-step Drawing Of A Smiling Yellow Flower In A Pot

I am Ghosia from Pakistan. My steemit username is @ghosvisions. Today is my first post in this community.

I am going to share my drawing of a Smiling Yellow Flower In The Pot. This is very simple and easy drawing. Drawing has been my favorite hobby since childhood because it relaxes my mind, reduces stress & makes me happy. I will share the whole process of my drawing step-by-step.

Materials Required:

1. White paper
2. Lead pencil
3. Eraser
4. Pencil colors
5. Marker color (only yellow)
6. Black pointer

Step no 1

By using a lead pencil, I started by drawing the base of the flower pot. Then I drew the upper part to complete the structure of the flower pot.

Step no 2

In this step, I drew mud inside the pot and then drew a stem that is coming out from the mud to upwards. Then I drew a beautiful leaf with the stem.

Step no 3

Then I drew another leaf on the right side of the stem. Now it looked balanced & beautiful.

Step no 4

In this step, first I drew the basic face structure of the flower, then I added eyes and a smile to show its happy expression.

Step no 5

This was the last step of sketching. In this step, I drew all the petals around the face to complete the flower shape. With this, my whole sketch of yellow smiling flower in a pot was complete.

Step no 6

Now it was time to fill colors in the sketch. I started by outlining the whole sketch with black pointer except the leaves and flower's smile, to make every detail look prominent. Then I outlined the leaves with dark green pencil color and flower's smile with red color. Then I erased extra pencil marks to make the drawing neat and clean.

Step no 7

After outlining, I filled light green color in both leaves of the flower.

Step no 8

Then I filled dark brown color in the stem, mud and in the two decorative lines on the flower pot.

Step no 9

In this step I filled light brown color in the flower pot. After filling color it was looking exactly like a pot.

Step no 10

In this step I used orange color to give shading to the edges of all petals of the flower.

Step no 11

This was the last step of coloring. In this step I filled yellow marker color in all the petals & the face of the flower. Now flower looked beautiful. With this my whole drawing of a Smiling Yellow Flower In a Pot was complete. Then I wrote my username and the date. I completed this drawing yesterday but due to health issue I couldn't post it. So I am sharing it today. Hope you will like my effort. Here is the final look:
