Enjoying some pleasing wind in my apple orchard

Since it is the peak of summer, the heat remains intense throughout the day, making life difficult for many people. The heat feels even more unbearable in urban areas, where getting stuck in traffic jams has become a daily struggle. Sitting inside vehicles for long periods or standing under the scorching sun on the roadside is extremely exhausting.

During such hot summer days, everyone wishes for a refreshing escape—a place filled with cool breezes from every direction, where one can finally find relief from the oppressive heat. I am no exception.

Today, I visited one of our orchards located in a distant area, where we have our apple plantations. I went there with my uncles, and as soon as we arrived, cool winds were blowing across the orchard. Spending time in that pleasant weather created such a refreshing and peaceful atmosphere that I truly enjoyed every moment of it.

However, one thing kept bothering us. A recent hailstorm had damaged some of our apples. Since we grow our apples primarily for export, there is no doubt that this will result in some financial loss. We will know the exact extent of the damage only at the end of the season. The affected apples will no longer qualify as Grade A produce and will instead fall into a lower category, which will significantly reduce their market value.

Still, this is part and parcel of fruit production. Almost every grower experiences a season when unforeseen circumstances like hailstorms affect the crop. Such challenges are simply a part of farming.

Nevertheless, we should always remain grateful. Whatever is written in our destiny will surely come to us. At the end of the day, the most important thing is to live life with contentment and gratitude, ensuring that we never fall short of appreciating the blessings we already have.
