Exploring The valley of Gold with my friends.
This video takes you back to a trip I made a few years ago with my friends during the autumn season to Sonamarg. Known as the “Meadow of Gold,” Sonamarg is one of the most fascinating and beautiful tourist destinations in Kashmir. It attracts visitors not only from different parts of India but also from many countries around the world who come to admire its breathtaking landscapes.
Sonamarg is a place where one never gets tired of enjoying the scenery. Located about 70 kilometers from Srinagar, it offers not only stunning views but also the beautiful Sindh River that flows through the valley, adding to its charm. It is considered one of Kashmir’s top tourist destinations, welcoming thousands of visitors every year.
We had decided to visit Sonamarg because I had never been there before. After one of my friends got married, he invited us to Sonamarg for a gathering. We stayed at the famous Hotel Snowland. The following day, we had the entire day to explore, and we made the most of it by visiting different corners of this beautiful valley and enjoying its spectacular views.
From Sonamarg, the road continues towards the famous Zoji La, and this same route eventually leads to Ladakh. The entire topography of the region is incredibly interesting. As you travel beyond Sonamarg and begin ascending into the mountains, the scenery transforms dramatically, revealing even more magnificent landscapes.
