I feel happy participating in this challenge, which has improved my mode of reasoning, and how to act appropriately, and achieve success.

Journaling, write your emotions and negative thoughts in a diary, express your thoughts

Title: When Words Hurt More Than Actions

Story:
My closet friend, whom I trusted once, commented on my failure in life, not just in the presence of others, but in front of them. To him, it sounded like a joke, but to me, it pierced my heart deeply. I smiled over it as I came out, yet inside of me, I felt so humiliated and angry with him. On my way going home, the words kept ringing in my mind. I imagined confronting my friend and those he was telling about my failure, saying harsher words, or distancing myself completely. My emotions were so loud, I was restless, and demanding a reaction.

Thoughts:
At that moment, my emotions wanted revenge to prove my worth and protect my ego. But the other part of me asked questions: was it intentional? Will reacting angrily bring regret it peace between us? I then realised that acting immediately could turn a small wound into a lasting conflict between us. Writing these thoughts down helped me to slow down. I then began to see the situation not as an attack, but as a moment of human imperfection mine and theirs.

Lesson:
I learned that emotions are signals, not commands. Pausing before reacting gives wisdom a chance to speak. Forgiveness does not mean someone is weak; sometimes it is self-control in its strongest form. By controlling my emotions instead of letting them control me, I protected my peace and avoided unnecessary regret that would have hurt me more.

Mind setup, take a favorite book, continue reading on a topic, and write in detail about that topic after finishing the reading. Let us know what book you are reading and take a picture.

I have read the book titled: "Nigeria Red Cross Society (Practical First Aid Quick Refresh Guide)". In the book, I read the topic: "Unconscious Non Breathing Causality"**.

The book is based on how to administer first aid, which is the topic that I read about, the ability for someone to respond correctly to an unconscious, non-breathing casualty. The book makes me understand that every individual should possess such skills because emergencies do not announce themselves, and those critical moments, calm action, and proper knowledge can mean the difference between life and death.

The book helps me to know the simple ways that I can help sustain life until advanced medical help arrives. A lot of people are afraid to do something wrong, which the book makes me understand that doing something, especially correct chest compressions, is far better than doing nothing.

The importance of proper technique is another lesson that I learned from reading the book. Learning directly over the casualty, keeping the arms straight, and compressing to the correct depth ensures effective blood flow while reducing the risk of injury. The topic also taught me about human compassion and responsibilities. Finally, I learned that chest compression is not just a medical procedure, but it is a life-saving skill, a test of presence of mind, and a reflection of humanity's duty to protect one another.

Read the story mentioned above and express your own opinion.

I have read the story, and from what I read, the story presents a painful but realistic picture of how war, greed, and misuse of power can destroy an entire society. Based on the story, while the city's leaders fought among themselves, ordinary people suffered so hard from famine and disease.

Liberia Ahmed and the common people in the country tried to survive by uniting and making fair agreements, but Harun Chowdhury broke the agreement out of greed, exploiting the starving people for wealth. In the end, his lack of humanity led him to personal tragedy when his son died, showing that greed and injustice eventually bring punishment to evil-doers. The story teaches me that compassion, unity, and responsibility are essential during times of crisis.

  1. Pause & Breath: I do take a deep breath and calm down before acting
  2. Identify your Feelings: Before acting, I ensure that I have recognised what my feeling is.
  3. Challenge your Thoughts: I always question negative thoughts before taking action.
  4. Choose your Response: I always look for the perfect way that I can react so as not to complicate things
  5. Practice Relaxation: My techniques to stay calm are meditation, eating healthy food, reading, and listening to nice music.
