A transport station is a place, like a building or a designated stop, where public transportation vehicles such as buses, trains, aeroplanes, or subways stop to pick up and drop off passengers. In this post I am using Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport as a case study.

Where is it located and how to get here?

Abuja Airport is known as Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. The airport is located approximately 20 kilometres, which is about 12 miles, west of the city center in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.

A brief history of the Station, Founder, established period, if there is any communication medium.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport was named after Nigeria's first president, and it was commissioned on 29 September 1992 to serve the new capital of Nigeria. After the construction and terminal development of the airport, a new international terminal was completed in 2002, and the domestic terminal was then rehabilitated.

In 2018 the airport was upgraded to a higher passenger handling. Today, as we read, the airport serves as a major hub for domestic and international travel in Nigeria and has received multiple awards for quality and safety.

Provide clear details about their activities. How long is the transport station open?

The airport serves the Nigerian capital city, Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory.

The activities of the airport include standard passenger and cargo services, specialised ground handling, and recent initiatives like the operation to go cashless. There are boarding services and restrooms provided in the airport. The airport has been in operation since 1992 which is 33 years now. Its local flight cuts across Nigeria's 36 States.

What are the facilities like? Electrical system, security system, etc.

Basic facilities:
The airport offers comfortable waiting areas, free Wi-Fi, charging stations, duty-free shops, restaurants, cafes, currency exchange, and car rental agencies.

There are restrooms, toilets, etc for passengers at the airport. The restrooms are of two categories; VIP and standard.

How is the work exchange here? How much is the transport ticket price for how many kilometers?

The work exchange at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is limited as it is a transport hub. The flight ticket varies, which, as a flight to Enugu, was ₦105,000, which is equivalent to 941 Steem. A taxi to the city center costs approximately ₦10,000 for a 45-minute trip. Ride-sharing services like Bolt have fixed-rate routes with a starting price of around ₦5,000 to the city boundary, plus an additional ₦500 for the toll gate fee on all trips to the airport.

It would be great if you could provide your review feedback on how their service is.

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is the best airport in Nigeria, and when it comes to services, attending to customers, and a beautiful environment, I give it to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport 100%. I like everything about the airport, and there are flights of aircraft parked at the airport.
