Hello friends, Assalamu Alaikum. I hope everyone is doing well; by the grace of God, I am doing well too. Today, I will share how I spent my day. I did quite a bit of shopping and also took care of all the household chores. Let me start from the beginning.

I woke up as usual and prepared breakfast for everyone. After breakfast, I tidied up and cleaned the house. Then, I cut out a dress for my mother-in-law. I plan to sew this dress myself on my sewing machine; I own a machine and do tailoring work, occasionally making clothes for the whole family. After cutting the fabric, I am now carefully stitching the dress.

After that, I prepared for lunch alongside my mother-in-law; I organized all the ingredients for her. While I handle the morning cooking, my mother-in-law always takes charge of lunch, so I simply set everything up for her. I cleaned and swept the house and took an early bath because I had to go out later in the afternoon.

Then we—my mother-in-law and I—sat down to have lunch together. Today’s menu featured Rui fish cooked with raw plantains, as well as chicken. Raw plantains are incredibly beneficial for our health; consuming them is particularly important for women because they are rich in iron. Besides, raw plantain has always been one of my favorite vegetables. After lunch, I rested for about 10 to 15 minutes, and during that time, our driver arrived at the house.

• After that, I set out for the market; our van driver arrived just then, and I went along with him. Once at the market, the first thing I bought was a pressure cooker. We already own one, but we needed another. This particular model had just arrived in the market; I really liked the look of it, so I decided to buy it. It has the capacity to cook four kilograms of meat.

Next, I went to the fish stall intending to buy Hilsa, but I ended up buying shrimp instead. I actually prefer shrimp slightly more than Hilsa—though I do like Hilsa too—but the Hilsa on display didn't quite appeal to me, and the price didn't seem right either. So, I bought a kilogram of shrimp instead.

I had bought a set of tops for my daughter, and she really liked the outfit; she had been insisting for days that I buy her a matching pair of pants as well. I had told her that I would buy them only if she performed well in her second term exams. Alhamdulillah, she achieved excellent results—she missed the first position by just two marks. However, I don't consider securing the top spot to be the most important thing; I am simply happy that she studied diligently and engaged with the competition. Truly understanding the lessons is far more important than merely ranking first in the class. So, I went ahead and bought her the outfit. Encouraging young children in this way helps foster a greater interest in their studies.

Afterward, I returned home; it was nearly evening by then. I washed up and rested for a while, as grocery shopping can be quite an exhausting task. Time and circumstances can change everything; there was a time when even my clothes were chosen by my mother, yet now I have learned to shoulder all the responsibilities of running a household—from shopping to looking after every family member. I no longer stress about the sequence of tasks; time is a crucial element of our lives, so we should all strive to utilize it wisely. That’s all for now—goodbye, and take care, everyone.
