The Truth of Life Beyond Infatuation

Assalamu Alaikum. I hope you are all well and healthy. By the infinite mercy of Allah, I am also well. Today I want to share some of my feelings with you about a topic that I have realized at different times in my life. The topic is— "Nothing is permanent, so don't be falsely infatuated with anything."

While walking on the path of life, we become deeply attracted to many things. Sometimes we become so infatuated with people, sometimes money, sometimes relationships, and sometimes our own achievements that we feel that these are the biggest truths of our lives. But with time, we have learned to understand that nothing in the world is permanent. What is there today may not be there tomorrow. And life becomes much easier if we can accept this reality.

I have seen that when people become overly dependent on something, the fear of losing that thing constantly torments them. But the real truth is that change is the most natural law of life. Just as the seasons change, day follows night, similarly, everything in human life does not remain in the same state. Happiness comes, then sadness comes. Success comes, then we have to face failure.

I think that false illusions are the root cause of many of our disappointments. We think that some people will be by our side for the rest of our lives, some situations will never change, or some achievements will always bring us joy. But reality often tells a different story. Then we break down, because we believed that temporary things are permanent.

So now I remind myself again and again, we have to enjoy every moment of life, but we cannot create blind infatuation with anything. We have to love, but not cling to it. We have to achieve, but not with pride. Because one day everything will change in the flow of time.

Finally, I just want to say this— the beauty of life is hidden not in permanence, but in its transience. So be grateful for what you have, value every moment, but do not create such infatuation with anything that one day causes you pain. Because the truth is very simple—nothing is permanent, and accepting this truth can lighten many of life's burdens.
