Assalamu Alaikum, I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah, I am also well Alhamdulillah. Today I am very happy to participate in the First week of Steemit Challenge Season 28. "Shami Kebab" is a popular dish which is mainly made of minced meat, lentils, and spices. It is very tasty and healthy. This week I will participate in the SLC 28-W1 // "Shami Kebab." Competition organized by @jimiaera02 Apu, thank you very much for organizing this great competition. I believe that this season I will know very well about kebab. So let's start..!!

I have eaten delicious Shami Kabab many times before at my home and at my relatives' houses. But I have never made this delicious Shami Kabab myself. I always thought it was very difficult to make such a perfect round Kabab, so I did not have the courage to make it myself. However, this time, in the first week of Steemit Challenge Season 28, the delicious Shami Kabab post organized by @jimiaera02 Apu gave me new courage. Seeing her post, I felt that this time I too can try making this delicious Shami Kabab. Finally, I was able to make Shami Kabab.


Prepare the Shami Kabab recipe step by step and describe the detailed procedure with pictures. Must use your own pictures. (6 Marks)

All the ingredients for making Shami Kabab.
Ingredients

Beef
500 gram
Lentils
1 cup
Egg
2 pieces
Mustard oil
2 teaspoons
Soybean oil
According to quantity
Salt
As per taste
Ginger paste
1 teaspoon
Garlic paste
1 teaspoon
Chopped onion
1 cup
Chopped green chilies
4-5 pieces
Chopped coriander leaves
1/2 cup
Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon
Chili powder
1 teaspoon
Coriander powder
1 teaspoon
Cumin powder
1 teaspoon
Black pepper powder
1/4 teaspoon
Black cardamom
3 pieces
White cardamom
5-6 pieces
Bay leaf
3 pieces
Clove
5-6 pieces
Cinnamon
3 pieces

The process of making "Shami Kebab"

To make Shami Kabab, I first took 500 grams of beef and 1 cup of lentils. Then I soaked the lentils in water for about 4/5 hours. After soaking the lentils for 4/5 hours, they swelled and doubled in size.

I drained the water from the dal and kept it in a separate bowl. Then I added 500 grams of boneless and lean beef. I washed the beef well with water and added it. I cut the beef into small pieces so that it cooks well. Then I added 1 tablespoon ginger paste, garlic paste, 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1 tablespoon turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon coriander powder, 1 tablespoon cumin powder, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder, 2 bay leaves, 5 small white cardamoms, 3 cinnamon sticks, 5 cloves, 3 black cardamoms, 1 tablespoon salt, half a cup chopped onion and 2 tablespoons pure mustard oil as per the above mentioned quantity.

After adding all the above mentioned ingredients, I mixed it well with the beef and dal. Then I added 2 cups of water to the mixed beef and dal and placed the pot of mixed beef and dal on the stove. I cooked the beef and dal on medium heat for about 1 hour. After the beef and dal mixture was cooked, I removed the pot from the stove and let it cool.

After the cooked beef and lentil mixture cooled down, I took out the cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and bay leaves and put them in a separate bowl. Then I put the beef and lentil mixture in a blender jar and blended it. I did not blend the beef and lentil mixture very finely. After blending the beef and lentil mixture, I put it in a separate bowl.

At this stage, I added finely chopped onion, chopped green chillies and chopped coriander leaves to the above mentioned beef and lentil mixture. Then, I mixed the onion, chopped green chillies and chopped coriander leaves together with the beef and lentil mixture with my hands.

Now it's time to add the eggs to the beef and lentil mixture. Here I have used two eggs to bind the mixture. I have used two eggs along with the yolk to bind the mixture, you can omit the egg yolk if you want. Then I added everything including the egg yolk to the mixed mixture and mixed it well. Now this mixture is completely ready to make Shami Kabab.

Now I took a small amount of the beef and dal mixture in my hand. And with the help of my palm, I shaped the kebab into the shape of my choice. It is better to use hand gloves while making the kebab, but since I did not have hand gloves, I shaped it without using hand gloves. Then I made kebabs with all the mixture in the same way and placed them on a plate.

My Shami Kebab recipe, beautifully presented to you. I basically decorate the Shami Kebab plate with lettuce leaves, tomatoes, lemon and cucumber. I hope you like this Shami Kebab plate decoration.

I want to share my delicious and healthy dish "Shami Kabab" made by myself with my dear school friend and current Steemit friend @shabiha-jahan. Because I have eaten many dishes made by her and every time I am impressed by the taste of her cooking. So this time I wanted to gift her the taste of my own hands. To make the delicious and healthy dish "Shami Kabab", I have carefully mixed the spices, cooked the meat well and fried each kebab perfectly. I want to share this dish with her, for me it is not just a dish, but a way to express gratitude for friendship. I want her to enjoy eating my "Shami Kabab" and understand that friendship does not only exist in words, but also in small expressions of love. I hope she will enjoy my efforts and our friendship will become sweeter.

My dear friend, I really enjoyed reading your comment. The food you mentioned is a wonderful cultural experience. Venezuelans use local ingredients in many of their dishes, such as plantains, cassava, or special types of cheese that are not easily available in other countries. When you go out, you often cook with alternative ingredients, but when you have the original ingredients, the taste and depth of the food really come out. As you said, when you prepare food with original ingredients, its taste will be richer, which is absolutely true.
