The person who motivates me the most in life is my mother. She is not popular, she is not rich, and she has never stood on the big stage to address thr world. But to me, she is more than just that, she is love, strength, peace, patience and courage all beautiful qualities in one person. What makes me admire her so much are not just these qualities, but how she chooses to live her life every single day.

My mother has faced so many challenges in life, yet she never allowed one of them break her. No matter how difficult things get, she always finds a way out with the help of the Holy Spirit. She always wakes up early enough to fix things even before it us morning proper, takes care of her children and make sure there is food for the whole family. Sincerely, I have watched my mom go through pain, stress, and even disappointment, but she kept believing. These acts of hers has taught me that life is not always easy, but we must not stop else we lose.

She is positive viber who always believes that something good will always come out every situation and I have watched her faith bring good things at the end of every trouble. Even when things don't go as planned, she encourages me not to give up. She will always say, “Be strong, I know you, your time will come!” These words stay put in my heart and kept reminding me that the patient dog, eats the fattest bone.

I remember a particular time her advice helped me, during this time, I was going through a very difficult time that I almost gave up on something important to me. I have tried all possible means but still nothing worked out and I felt discouraged. I was tired and emotionally drained and felt like I was not good enough.

One evening as I was having a family discussion with my mom, I decided to tell her my worries, infact she noticed my appearance as we talked and asked if I was ok. My mom carefully listened to my story without interrupting me. After I finished, she smiled and said softly, “if you stop now, you will never find out how close you were to winning, so no stopping. Keep moving!.” My dear, challenges are part of what made me the woman I am today, if I had given up maybe you children will not be where you are today. Her words gave strength again to keep trying.

The next day, I made a new decision to keep up with my dreams, this time slowly but with determination. It wasn't easy I know but I kept my mother's words alive in me and at the end, I achieved what I thought I couldn't. That moment made me realize how powerful her words of “Faith” was. If I had given up, I would have missed the success.

My mom continues to inspire me everyday. Through the things she does, she has quietly taught me to be strong, patient, and hopeful. I believe in my myself more these days because of her. Her life is a lesson I carry with me like MTN everywhere I go, although she may not be aware of it.
