Why Quit when you are Almost There???

People usually don’t give up at the start. In the beginning, there’s excitement, energy, and a clear goal in mind. Even in the middle, there’s still some happiness. However, things change as people move towards the end, when they are “almost there.” That’s when many decide to stop.

One key reason is exhaustion. By the time someone reaches the last phase of their journey, they have already put in a lot of time, effort, emotions, and sometimes money. The body becomes tired, but the mind also tires. It becomes difficult to maintain focus, and resting starts to seem more necessary than continuing to push forward.

Doubt is another factor. When success feels far away, it usually seem like a dream. But as it gets closer, it starts to feel real and that can be intimidating. People begin to question themselves, asking, 'What if I fail now?' or 'What if I’m not truly ready?' The fear of failing at the last moment can takeover the drive to succeed.

There’s also the issue of slow or unseen progress. At the almost there stage, progress often feels withdrawn and less. The changes have already occurred earlier, so it can feel like you’re exerting a lot of effort without seeing substantial results. This can lead to feelings of being stuck, even when you’re actually very close.

Impatience is another thing. After working for so long, people expect quick results. When those results don’t appear right away, frustration can set in. They may start to feel like the journey is a never-ending one, even though the finish line is just ahead.

Lastly, some individuals quit because they look down on the final stretch. They believe that being close is sufficient, not realizing that the last steps demand the most discipline, focus, commitment, and persistence.

The reality is, 'almost there' is not a move to stop, it’s a challenge. It’s the moment when everything you’ve built is put to the test. Those who continue, even when it’s toughest, are the ones who achieve their goals. So when you feel like quiting, it does not mean you cannot do it, it simply means you are just one step away from winning.
