4 Years of Togetherness & A Simple Anniversary Dinner at Hotel KGN, Vadodara
Assalam-O-Alikum friends,
Today is a very special day for me because it is my marriage anniversary. Alhamdulillah, it has been 4 beautiful years of togetherness, love, and understanding. Time really flies so fast, it feels like just yesterday when everything started, and now we have completed another year of our journey. Life has changed a lot in these years, especially after becoming parents, but still, these small moments make everything feel so meaningful.
This anniversary was a little different from what I had imagined. My husband could not get leave from the hospital because there were four critical patients admitted, and due to continuous complications, it was not possible for him to leave his duty. I completely understood his situation because his work is very important, and patients come first. Still, somewhere in my heart, I was wishing that we could spend the whole day together like other couples do on their anniversary.
The whole day passed very normally. I stayed at home, did my regular household work, and took care of my baby. There was no special celebration during the day, and honestly, it felt a little incomplete. But I kept patience because I knew that even a small moment together in the evening would be enough for me. My husband came home late at night, looking tired but still with a smile, and that moment itself made me happy.
Since it was already late, we decided to go out for dinner instead of doing anything at home. We took my devar along with us and went to a nearby place called Hotel KGN. It is a simple family restaurant, not very fancy, but perfect for a casual dinner. Sometimes you don’t need big celebrations, just being together is enough.
As we reached the restaurant, the bright signboard of Hotel KGN was shining in the night, and the place looked quite lively. Inside, the seating was simple and comfortable. There were families sitting around, enjoying their meals, and the environment felt very normal and relaxed. It was not crowded too much, so we got our table easily.
We checked the menu and decided to order some simple but tasty food. We ordered chicken boneless, chicken kheema, chicken dana, roti, and cold drinks. The menu had many options, but we chose what we felt like eating at that moment. The prices were reasonable compared to other restaurants, which made it even better.
After a short wait, our food arrived. The chicken boneless was nicely cooked with a rich gravy and soft pieces. The kheema was full of flavor and had that perfect spicy taste which goes very well with roti. Chicken dana was also quite good and different in taste, which made our dinner more enjoyable. Fresh onion salad with lemon added that extra freshness to the meal.
We all started eating together, talking about random things, laughing, and just enjoying the moment. My devar was also happy to join us, and it felt like a small family outing. Even though the day didn’t go as planned, this dinner made everything feel complete. Sometimes happiness comes in simple ways, and this was one of those moments.
The service at the restaurant was quick, and the staff was polite. They served everything on time, and the overall experience was smooth. We didn’t have to wait much, which is always a good thing when you are hungry and tired.
While sitting there, I realized that celebrations don’t always have to be big or perfect. Even a simple dinner after a long day can become a beautiful memory if you are with the right person. These 4 years have taught me patience, understanding, and the value of small happiness in life.
After finishing our dinner, we spent a few more minutes there and then came back home. The night felt peaceful, and my heart felt satisfied. This anniversary may not have been grand, but it was real and meaningful for me.
Alhamdulillah for everything, for these 4 years, for my husband, my family, and all the small moments that make life beautiful. I just pray that we continue this journey together with love and happiness.
