THE DAIRY GAME: A REFLECTIVE SUNDAY
Good day everyone.
I’m happy to share how my day went today.
I woke up early this morning and started my day with my usual morning prayers and affirmations. After that, I brushed my teeth and took my bath.
After getting ready, I prepared breakfast for myself and the family. We sat together and enjoyed the meal while talking about a few things we planned to do during the week.
Since today is Sunday, I got ready for church. I attended service at The Church of Pentecost, and it was truly a refreshing time in the presence of God. The worship session was powerful and the atmosphere was filled with joy.
During the sermon, the message focused on patience. The pastor explained that patience is the ability to stay calm even when things are not happening the way we want them to.
He read from 2 Peter 3:9, which reminds us that the Lord is not slow in keeping His promises. Instead, He is patient with us because He wants everyone to come to repentance.
The message also highlighted some important things about patience:
A patient person gains wisdom (Proverbs 14:29)
Patience helps us grow spiritually
Those who wait patiently receive God's promises and blessings
Patience brings peace to the heart
Patience can lead to success in life
We also learned about the effects of impatience. When people become impatient, they may make wrong decisions, become angry easily, and sometimes even destroy their own destiny. The example from 1 Samuel 10:8 and 1 Samuel 13:8–14 showed how impatience can lead to serious consequences.
The pastor also shared some practical ways to develop patience:
Keep praying
Learn to pause before reacting
Practice deep breathing
Understand that many good things take time to happen
Train yourself to wait
Control your expectations
One statement that really stayed with me was when he said life is like a mechanism. Just as a baby must grow before becoming an adult, we must learn to move through life step by step. He compared it to a tortoise, reminding us that steady and patient progress leads us to our destination.
After church, I returned home feeling encouraged and thoughtful about the message. In the afternoon, I prepared lunch and spent some time resting and reflecting on the sermon.
Later in the evening, I did some house chores, cleaned up the kitchen, and spent a little time relaxing.
Today’s message reminded me that patience is very important in every part of life. Many of the good things we hope for require time, faith, and the ability to wait.
