Contest Alert; My early days on steemit
Tell us your early days experience on steemit.
When i first joined Steemit everything looked new and a little confusing. I was excited but also nervous. I did not know how things worked how to write posts or how rewards were given. The wallet power voting system and communities were all new words for me. In the beginning i made many mistakes. Sometimes i used wrong tags sometimes my formatting was not good and sometimes i did not understand why my post did not get many votes. But slowly i started learning. I read other people’s posts followed good writers and asked questions in comments. Many senior Steemians helped me kindly and this made me feel welcomed. My early days taught me patience. I learned that Steemit is not about fast success. It is about consistency honesty and quality. With time i started enjoying writing more and more.
Have you been able to introduce people to the platform?
Yes i have tried to introduce people to Steemit. I told my friends and family abouts this platform. I explaned that Steemit is a place where you can writes share your thoughts and earn rewards for your effort. Some people showed interest especially those who like writing and photography. However not everyone was ready to join. Some people felt it was difficult and some were scared because of blockchain and crypto terms. Still i believe even telling people about Steemit is a good step. If even one person joins and stays active it is a success for me.
Are there things you are still finding difficult to understand since you joined?
Even now there are some things i find difficult to understand. The wallet system is still confusing sometimes especially power up power down and conversions. Understanding voting power and how rewards are calculated is also not very easy. Another difficult thing is growing consistently. Sometimes you write a good post but it does not get much reach. It can be discouraging but i remind myself to keep going and focus on learning not only rewards.
Any suggestions or recommendations to the steemit team.
I really appreciate the Steemit team for creating such a wonderful platform. My small suggestions are:
• Make simples guides or videos for new users in easy languages.
• Improved the user interfaced to make it more beginer-friendly.
• Add more supportive for new users so they don’t feel lost.
• Promote quality content so good writers feel motivated.
