Today I have visited the historic eye care institution in Old Dhaka, Maula Box Eye Hospital. This institution providing eye health care is very old. This eye hospital reflects the will of a philanthropist named Maula Box. Today I will visit the eye hospital and pin it on the Steem-Atlas map.

The history of Maula Box Eye Hospital is very ancient. Maula Baksh was a renowned leader and philanthropist of Old Dhaka. In 1944, he was one of the Sardars of the Baish Panchayat Committee. They were financially prosperous in their family. Before his death in 1987, he left his worthy son, Mohammad Azim Baksh, the right to spend their wealth for human welfare. After the death of this great philanthropist, his son Azim Baksh established the Maula Baksh Sardar Memorial Trust. Under the trust, an eye hospital was established in 1989 to serve the underprivileged population. The left side of which is the Maula Baksh Eye Hospital.

Initially, this hospital had 25 beds. And the service was provided for 10 taka. Their slogan was "Give light, give life". The institution, which provides advanced medical services at a nominal price, is gaining popularity day by day. That popularity is still intact. Although the price of each item has increased over time, along with the change of the 10 taka medical service to 50 taka. Nowadays, it is very difficult to get eye treatment for 50 taka, but getting medical services is more difficult. That impossible task is being done very smoothly by Maula Box Sardar Charitable Eye Hospital.

Upon entering the hospital, several signboards are seen. Where the ancient city of Dhaka is presented.
The past history of the old city of Dhaka is highlighted. In one of the pictures, the Panchayat Committee of Maula Box is also included.
A large signboard is seen, where a slogan reminds us of human welfare - "Give light, give life". There are many chairs in front. These are allocated for the patients who come here. The place is quite open.

As soon as you move forward, the reception of the hospital falls into your hands or on your side. When the patient goes there and records the details of his problem, they get the patient's eyes examined in several steps. This includes a manual examination, then an eye examination with an eye examination machine. After taking the reports from two places, a specialist doctor again examines the eyes in his own way. Each step is examined with great care and love.

Around 200 patients receive eye treatment here every day. If necessary, operations are performed here. Currently, the hospital has been equipped with all modern facilities. Modern equipment for eye examination, skilled eye doctors, a large area for providing medical services, a medicine corner, where all eye medicines are available.

Pure drinking water system
There is also an eyeglass shop, for the glasses that the doctor gives for the eyes, glasses are made from their own lab and supplied to the patients.
With all modern eye treatment services, the Maula Box Sardar Charitable Eye Hospital has been providing medical services to patients with a great reputation.

Reception of the eye hospital

I have been to Maula Baksh Sardar Charity Eye Hospital several times for eye problems. I was impressed by its treatment methods and customer service. What are the main types of medical services provided here? First, customer service is provided from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm at 50 taka for a 9.09 steam visit. Many patients flock to get this medical service at a nominal price. Sometimes the crowd of patients is so high that it becomes difficult to handle. But all the problems are solved with the efficient management here.

Machinery for eye treatment
Another type of medical service is provided from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. A team of specialist doctors provides eye care to patients at this time. They charge 300 taka for their visit. The same medical service that can be taken here for 300 taka will cost 1200-1200 taka if you take it from another hospital.
