Chandpur Three Rivers Estuary or Molehead

The tourist area I visited today is a unique place in Bangladesh. The name of the area is Chandpur Three Rivers Estuary or Molehead.
This junction in Chandpur district is famous for several reasons. It is the confluence of three rivers where a strong current often forms. The current is so severe that it becomes difficult for a launch steamer to keep its balance when passing through it. Many times, accidents occur. That is why ships bound for Barisal and Khulna used to pass this area very carefully. And the Chandpur authorities have changed the terminal due to the fear of accidents.

Boats in the river

Tourists come from far and wide to see this terrifying form of the river. They often can see the current, but they fully enjoy the wonderful environment at the confluence of the three rivers.
Chandpur is famous for Hilsa fish. Due to the fresh water, the largest number of Hilsa fish is found here. That fish is collected and supplied through this ghat in Chandpur. That is why those who are thirsty for fresh Hilsa fish come here to collect fresh fish.

The mouth of the three rivers of Chandpur is important for many other reasons. From here, there is a waterway to go to several districts, such as Faridpur, Shariatpur, Khulna, Borishal, Patuakhali, Dhaka, and many more districts. This estuary has to be used.
All the locals of this district travel from one place to another in small boats. They all use the river junction as a terminal.
The place is wonderful for enjoying the unique beauty of nature. Being the meeting point of three rivers, the river always changes its appearance, and river lovers sit on the ghat and enjoy that appearance.

Big stones in the molehead

The junction has been beautifully arranged to enjoy nature. It is worth mentioning here that a strong current flows at this junction of the river, as a result of which river erosion occurs more here. But so that the current does not erode the ghat, large pieces of stone have been placed. Now the river erosion has been prevented. Visitors walk on the pieces of stone. Beautiful stones are placed from the river to the high slope, and visitors enjoy them.

Chandpur Three Rivers Estuary is a famous tourist area. Visitors come to this tourist area mainly to enjoy nature. There are several sitting places on the banks of the river so that visitors can visit the rotational tourism area of ​​the confluence of the three rivers. The entire area is covered with huge trees. On one side, the cold and cool wind coming from the river, on the other side, the presence of trees makes the place enjoyable.

Beautiful atmosphere at the molehead

To visit the area, you can come here by road, rail, or waterway. If you talk about the three rivers estuary from any end, Chandpur will bring you here.

There is ample open space for parking the cars with the visitors. There are security guards to look after the cars in the parking lot. There are special boats for traveling on the river. These boats can be rented by the hour and taken for boat trips.
The three rivers estuary area is open to everyone. No tickets are required here. There are many mobile shops here for the food arrangements of the visitors. Although the shops are mobile, they still serve delicious food.
