For the first time, a historic Iftar Mahfil was held at Government Titumir College under the initiative of Bangladesh Islami satroshibir
For the first time, an Iftar Mahfil was held in a cordial and spiritual atmosphere at the renowned Government Titumir College in the capital Dhaka under the initiative of Bangladesh Islamic Students' Union. Organized keeping in mind the significance of the holy month of Ramadan, self-purification and brotherhood, this program created a unique atmosphere on the college campus and aroused a huge response among the students.

A festive atmosphere could be observed on the campus since the afternoon surrounding the program. The responsible staff made arrangements to prepare and distribute Iftar items in an orderly manner. Students from various departments of the college including Political Science, Bengali, English, and Accounting spontaneously attended.
The simple but heartwarming arrangement included dates, fruits, and biryani. The sincerity and discipline of the organizers caught everyone's attention. The participating students said that such initiatives play an important role in strengthening mutual relations on campus.
A short discussion session was held before Iftar. In the discussion, the speakers highlighted the true significance of Ramadan and said that Ramadan is not just a month of enduring hunger and thirst; it is a month of self-control, morality, compassion and piety.

The speakers also said that character building is the most important thing in academic life. An ideal student does not only perform well in exams; his moral standards, humanity and sense of responsibility are also equally important. Such arrangements create an opportunity for students to practice Islamic values.
As the sun sets, everyone breaks the fast together with the sound of the call to prayer. The scene of breaking the fast together sets a shining example of brotherhood and harmony on campus. After Iftar, Maghrib prayers are offered. After the prayers, special prayers are offered for the peace, prosperity and welfare of the country, nation and Muslim Ummah. In addition, prayers are also offered for the overall progress of the college and the bright future of the students.
Many participating students said that this is the first time such an initiative has been taken at Government Titumir College and it is truly commendable. They expressed hope that such constructive and spiritual programs will continue in the future as well. Many referred to it as a “historic beginning” and said that this arrangement will play an important role in increasing brotherhood, tolerance and mutual respect among the students.
The organizing representatives said that this is not just an Iftar Mahfil; rather, it is a small effort for the moral and spiritual development of the students. In the future, various constructive programs will be undertaken for the welfare of the students and to create a positive atmosphere on the campus. As this Iftar Mahfil, organized for the first time, was successfully and orderly, a feeling of joy and gratitude can be observed among all concerned. Undoubtedly, this will be a memorable chapter in the history of Government Titumir College.
