The Diary Game: Effort In Futility(04-02-2026)

Heyyy Pookies, How are you all doing? I am Happiness Effiong with @inemghurrl as my steemit username. I woke up early yesterday and got busy with chores just so I could meet up with time, when I finished with chores, I took my bath and ate my breakfast of atama abak and fufu before going to school. I don't know why I actually preferred solid food to something lite that morning but I understood it when I didn't have anything like snacks while in school till 5pm when I returned home but I was still feeling strong and satisfied because of the heavy meal I ate in the morning.

I walked down to the lecture hall when I got to school and the worst happened before my eyes, lectures had just been rounded off and some students were looking for how to sign attendance list while others who had done that already left the hall. I spotted my course mates and also joined in signing attendance and left to convo park to print my assignment after I had signed attendance list. When I got there, the lady was busy and I had to exercise patience and wait for my turn so I sat down, still skimming through my note, trying to revise what I have read for the test I have later in the day, little did I know that the test will be cancelled.

I took my off our class group and that almost caused me to miss out on submitting the assignment not until my course came to print her cover page again because of the mistake she made that was spotted by our course representative and was asked to correct it. I waited for her to print out her cover page before walking down to submit our assignment together. I had left some documents there where I did my assignment for photocopy so I returned back there to get and while I was there, my friend called to know my exact location in school so i told her to locate Zenith bank ATM in school and she'll find me directly opposite it. I tried using the ATM for withdrawal but found out that it was currently unable to dispense cash so I patronized the POS operator who stood just by the ATM stand for her business.

The test which was to hold by 2pm was cancelled and the information reached us some minutes past 2pm and I went to Nelfund office in our camp to make enquiries on how to apply for refund and I was redirected to the Bursary at perm site and since I had nothing to rush home to attend to, I entered a mini bus in school which will drop me in perm site. I walked down to the Bursar's office when I alighted from the bus and submitted my documents buy I was asked to photocopy one of the documents and I had to trek down to the cyber cafe to do that. It was a stressful journey but I succeeded in photocopying it, when I returned, it was spotted that one of the documents had not been stamped so I was asked to come back when I stamp it. Effort in futility, I exclaimed!

The officers apologized for the inconvenience but I was too vexed to respond, I walked out of the office, went downstairs and entered a Keke which will take me down to the school gate where I can enter a bus back home. I could count the few things I was able to do successfully. I got home and took my bath, ate and relaxed. I couldn't bring myself to read for the next test because I feared that it will still be cancelled again after burning candles to read at night. Thanks Pookies, byyyyeeee.
