The Diary Game: [17/03/2026] Heavy Downpour Here In Uyo

Do you know that as I was complaining about rain not falling over here, it literally came today? I am talking about a very heavy rain that nobody in my compound was able to go out. It rained so hard that even my neighbour that has a car couldn't step out. And do you know what? I loved it because, I am working from home, so why should I even be bothered?

I came outside to see how the rain was doing and then I went inside again, I made a very hot tea and drank then I brushed, had my warm bath before I wore my socks to go and work. I don't know if there is someone out there that likes the sound of rain on the zinc, it always feels like someone is applauding me to work more.

Also, the sound of rain drop is therapeutic, it makes me sleep so well but today wasn't for too much rest as so much work were on my table. When I stood up from my work seat, I stretch my legs because they were beginning to hurt me. There was no way I was stepping outside because it was freezing cold out there.

After long hours of work, I ended the work for the day, whatever thing that remained was taken to the next day, I was hungry so I needed to do something about my hunger before ulcer visits me. So I went outside to go buy some foodstuffs. The street was so slippery that I was taking my step one at a time so that I won't fall.

I got to the shop, this woman sells whatever you would even want to buy from the market and she has been my favourite customer. I bought okra from her and few things with garri and came back to the house. Over here, spicy okra is the best to eat in cold days like this.

When I came to the house, I took the items in and came out to stay and observe the weather. Although the rain had stopped but it was looking as if it wanted to rain again.

I went inside and cooked the okra soup. I did the garri and brought it to the room to eat. This okra soup took me approximately 2 hours to cook and that reached this night.

When I was through with the food, I attended an X space and after the space, I came back to come and share my day with the steemit world. So happy to have you all here.
