The Diary Game: From Exhaustion to Triumph how My Presentation Day Unfolded [25/08/2026].
Hello Steemit fam! 👋
welcome to another episode of my dairy session I still remain your @madoshi, I woke up today was one of those days that tested my endurance from the very first minute I opened my eyes and honestly, it's the kind of day that reminds me why I love the journey of architecture school, stress and all.
A Rough Start After a Sleepless Night
I woke up feeling completely worn out. The night before, I had been buried in my books and design notes, reading and rehearsing for a presentation at the architectural studio. By the time I finally closed my eyes, it was already deep into the early hours of the morning, so when my alarm went off, my body simply wasn't ready to cooperate. I dragged myself out of bed, mind still foggy, but with the presentation looming, there was no room to linger under the sheets.
Breakfast: Keeping It Light and Simple
With so much on my plate mentally, the last thing I wanted was a heavy breakfast that would slow me down. So I settled for something mild and comforting — a warm bowl of pap (custard) paired with creamy milk. It's one of those breakfasts that doesn't ask too much of you but still gives you enough fuel to push through a demanding morning. Sweet, smooth, and easy on the stomach, it was exactly what I needed to steady my nerves before heading out.
The Presentation: Stress Meets Success
Getting to the studio, the nerves really kicked in. Presenting design work in front of critics and peers is never a walk in the park, especially on the back of very little sleep. There were moments I second-guessed myself, moments my voice shook slightly as I explained my concepts and drawings. But somehow, all those long nights of preparation paid off. I pushed through the questions, defended my ideas, and by the end of it, I could finally breathe. It was stressful from start to finish, but it was a success — and that feeling of relief afterward is honestly unmatched.
Coming Home: Too Tired to Cook
By the time I got home, exhaustion had fully caught up with me. My body was drained from the mental and physical demands of the day, and cooking was simply not an option. I went straight for a bath, letting the water wash away the stress of the day, and once I stepped out, my mind went straight to food something quick, something familiar.
Supper: The Famous Hausa Masa
I turned to street food for supper and treated myself to some of the famous Hausa masa, those soft, golden rice cakes cooked over an open flame until they're perfectly crisp on the outside. There's something deeply satisfying about biting into freshly made masa after a long day it felt like a well-earned reward.
Not long after eating, I slipped into bed and slept like a baby, finally letting my body rest after a day filled with stress, effort, and ultimately, success. Some days are hard, but they end well and today was definitely one of them. Thanks for reading, Steemit fam. Until next time! ✨
