Assalamualaikum!
Today, on 27 May 2026, we are celebrating the day of Eid al-Adha, which is an Islamic festival and a Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him). It commemorates the moment when he firmly decided to sacrifice his most beloved possession, his dear son, for the sake of Allah Almighty. In remembrance of this great act of devotion, Muslims every year strive to offer their sacrifices sincerely in the way of Allah."

In this regard, today we first offered the Eid al-Adha prayer at seven o’clock in the morning. Immediately after that, we sacrificed a calf. After slaughtering it, we prepared the meat ourselves instead of hiring a butcher. According to the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), a large animal can have seven shares. Afterward, the meat is divided into three parts and distributed among people, in which the share of the weak, needy, and poor is also considered essential.

On the occasion of Eid, feelings of love, compassion, sacrifice, and selflessness are awakened, which create harmony, unity, and brotherhood in society.

On this occasion of Eid al-Adha, there was also a great rush at my shop today, where children bought toys of their choice and also enjoyed eating their favorite things.

We had lunch, which was a lavish feast prepared from the meat of the sacrifice. Guests also came to our home and joined us in the meal.

We distributed the sacrificial meat among friends, relatives, and the poor. Today was quite a busy day for us, as we made special preparations for Eid and greatly enjoyed spending time with our family, friends, and loved ones.

Today, the entire Muslim world was blessed with the honor of performing Qurbani (sacrifice) and offered their sacrifices in the way of Allah Almighty. In the end, I pray that Allah Almighty accepts this humble effort of ours in His exalted court and grants us the best reward in this world and the Hereafter in return. Ameen.
