My drawing journey – from a simple sketch to a beautiful portrait
Peace be upon you friends!
At first I just formed a light figure. The most consequential thing at this stage is to learn the outline of the face right, as this forms the base of the entire sketch.
Gradationally I outlined the contours of the face, similar as the shape of the nose, lips and chin.
After that I started styling the hair. When creating the hair I tried to form it appear natural, so I used soft and light lines. Showing the directive and inflow of the hair was an important step, which brought the image to life.
When the basic outline was complete, I worked out on the particulars of the face, specifically the eyes.
Creating closed eyes created a sensation of calm and beauty in the image. I also did some light shading to form the image appear more pragmatic.
Finally I finalized the neck and the dress and offered the final touch to the entire sketch.
The most important thing throughout this process was thickness and patience. At each stage I picked up from my mistakes and tried to improve the sketch.
What did I learn?
- Simple lines can form beautiful art
- Patience and practice are key
- Every short detail makes the photo unique
I hope you like this sketch of mine and its journey.However, be sure to practice a little every day, because enhancement comes with time, If you're alike interested in art.

What pencils and surface do you use?

@blessedlife 🌷
I use HB pencil and simple A4 paper and thank you for your support and appreciation @blessedlife.
I was amazed as soon as I saw it. How well you made the lips. How beautifully 🥰 you made the people while carrying the short hair. It really took a lot of effort to create this tone. You also made the girl's eyes and eyelashes beautifully. Well done 👍. Seeing your hard work. it seems that you made this drone with a lot of hard work and dedication. Thank you for inviting me to the post. I really liked your drawing as soon as I saw your post.
