The Diary Game: 12th May, 2026.Slow Day, Good Conversations and late night out.

Hi guys, it’s Otidi here again. On today’s episode, I’ll share how my day went.

My day started a bit late because I had work to finish and deliver.

Once I was done, I headed straight to the shop. As usual, I cleaned up the shop first. After that, I sat down. It was a slow day. Not a lot of customers came in, but it’s normal. This is business, so I give glory to God.

The first people who came were those who had been owing me before. About 2 of them came in and paid me. After that, it became quiet again. I just sat there with nothing much happening.

I stepped out to greet my neighbor, and we ended up talking for over an hour. We talked about Christianity and Islam. I was trying to understand a few things, and she was doing the same. It was a really good conversation.

By 12 o’clock, I got hungry. There was no bread, so I sent my neighbor to get me yam from where I usually buy it. She got it for me, and I also bought kunu and that was what I ate around noon.

After eating, I had another long conversation with an old friend I mentioned that I recently met again. We talked on WhatsApp for a long time.

Towards evening, around 3 PM, my student Destiny came into the shop. We had a short session, but without light cause it past time when we usually get light, so we just worked on keyboard shortcut keys.

A little over an hour later, my boss called me about my printer. It had been a little faulty, and the technician was around, so I quickly took it to the shop. I left my student and his mom at my shop.

I thought it would take about 30 to 40 minutes, but I ended up staying there till to 8 PM. By the time I left, my student had already closed the shop and left my key with someone else.

At my boss’s place, they fixed his printer. Mine couldn’t be done that night, so the technician said he would continue the next day.

I left my boss's place around few minutes to 8 PM. I went back to my shop, picked up my bag, locked up, and started heading home. I walked a bit with my brother, and we eventually went home together through the dark but beautiful evening.

When I got home, I ate swallow and ogbono soup. It was so good that I overfed myself. I finished one portion, took another one, and my brother even had to help me finish it.

After that, I didn’t do much else. I slept off.

That was how my day went, and I give glory to God.
