My Day at Bano Qabil and Iftar Routine

Yesterday was a very busy day for me. After I finished my school I did not rest. I took my laptop and went straight to Peshawar Nishterabad. I study at the Alkhidmat Bano Qabil IT Training Centre. This is a great place where many students come to learn new skills for their future.

Our Video Editing Class

​My class is two hours long and it is always full of new things to learn. Our teacher is very good and explains everything on a big projector screen. Yesterday the main topic was Face Masking. This is a very cool trick in video editing. After that we also talked about Green Screen videos. We learned how to remove the green background and put any other video or picture there. I watched closely while the teacher showed us the steps on the screen.

The Haya Campaign Visit

​While we were busy with our editing lesson two female students came into our class. They were from the Haya Campaign. They wanted to talk to us about something very important. Even though their main topic was for the girls they also spoke to the boys because haya is for everyone. They gave us a brochure and a form called Test Your Haya IQ.

​I read the form carefully. It had many questions about our daily life. It asked if we think haya is a restriction or a way to have self respect. It also asked if we keep our talk on social media respectful. I filled out the form and realized that haya is not just about clothes. It is also about our eyes and our hearts. It is a shared responsibility for everyone in our society.

Going Home for Iftar

​After the two hours of class were finished I was feeling a bit tired because I was fasting. I met my friends outside the centre and we took a selfie together to remember the day. Then I started my journey back home. As soon as I reached home I offered my Asr prayer. I took a short rest to save some energy. When the time for Iftar came I was very happy to eat with my family after a long day of hard work and learning.
