Welcome Ramadan
Waking up for Sehri is something very special. The whole house is quiet. Everyone is sleepy. Eyes are half closed. But still there is peace. Eating simple food at that time feels nice. Water taste feel better. Few time I feel lazy to wake up but when I do, it feel good inside. Then come long day of fast. Sometimes it is very hot. Sometimes we feel tired. But we still continue. Because we know Allah is watching. And this makes us strong.

Iftar time is my favourite. The few minutes before Maghrib are very emotional. Everyone wait for the Azaan. Dates are in front of us. Water is ready. And when Azaan starts that first sip of water feels amazing. It is hard to explain. Only fasting person can understand that feeling. Ramzan is also the month Pak Quran. We try to read more Quran Pak in this month. Some read small parts. Some try to finish full Quran. Even if someone read slowly, it still feels peaceful. The words of Quran touch to heart in Ramzan more deeply. I do not know why but it feel different.

At night, Taraweeh prayers make masjid look beautiful. Long lines of people standing together. Young, old, rich and poor all equal. All asking for forgiveness. Sometimes legs hurt. Sometimes we feel tired. But still we stand. Because this month does not come again and again. Ramzan also teach us to control anger. If someone fights, we try to stay calm. If someone say something bad we ignore. It is not easy. But we try. This is real test of fasting. Charity is also very important in Ramadan. People give Zakat. They help poor families. They share food. When we give something to someone who need it, our heart feels light. Even small help matters. Ramzan remind us that we are one Ummah. Last ten days are very emotional. Everyone search for Laylatul Qadr. The night which is better than thousand months. People pray more in these nights. Some cry quietly. Some ask Allah for forgiveness for past mistakes. It is a very deep feeling. Like talking to Allah directly.

Ramzan is like a training month. It teach us discipline. Pray on time. Eat on time. Speak good words. Think good thoughts. If we really follow Ramzan properly our whole year can change. Ramzan always bring mixed feelings. Happiness and little sadness also. Happiness because it is blessed month. Sadness because it finish so fast. Thirty days pass quickly. Every year we say same words with love.
Welcome Ramzan.
May Allah Tala forgive us.
May He accept our fasts.
May He clean our hearts.
Ameen.
