Drinking a large glass of water 20 minutes before a meal reduces hunger so you naturally eat less. Drinking a glass of warm water on an empty stomach in the morning speeds up your metabolism.

Say Goodbye to Sugar

This is one thing that, if you give up, can help you lose weight quickly. In Pakistan, people drink 4 to 5 cups of tea daily with 2 teaspoons of sugar in each cup. Calculate how much sugar that adds up to every day. On top of that, cold drinks, juices and sweets are also loaded with sugar. Simply reduce your sugar intake and everything else will start falling into place on its own.

Eat Slowly, Do Not Overeat

Most of us eat very quickly — especially while working or scrolling through our phones. When you eat fast, your brain receives the "stomach is full" signal very late and you end up eating more than needed. Chew every bite properly. Give yourself time to eat — at least 20 minutes per meal.

Eat Dinner Early

This is a very small change but it has a very big impact. Do not eat anything after 8 PM. In Pakistan, most people eat dinner at 10 or 11 at night and then go straight to sleep. This causes fat to accumulate very quickly because after you sleep, your body stops burning calories.

The Magic of a Smaller Plate

This might sound funny but it is scientifically proven. When you put food on a smaller plate, your brain thinks there is plenty of food and you feel satisfied even after eating less. Start using a smaller plate today.

Get Enough Sleep

People who sleep less produce more hunger hormones in their body. This means less sleep leads to more hunger and more weight gain. Getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep every night is very helpful in losing weight.


Eat Home Cooked Food

Food from outside contains excessive oil, salt and calories. Simple home cooked food — lentils, vegetables, bread — is the best for your health and also keeps your weight under control.

Losing weight is not a one day job. Be patient, stay consistent and adopt these small habits. Within one month you will feel the difference yourself.
