Diarygame: I got to volunteer for a Web3 project for the first time
Yesterday taught me about working with people physically for the first time.
I was home when a friend asked if I'd like to volunteer for a project that was coming to my school yesterday.
I looked at itinerary for the week and saw that although my Saturday wasn't so free, I wanted to work with a brand physically for the first time.
So I said yes. I got into the content team and did the little I could. I made sure to arrive the venue as early as possible to capture the set-up and everything.
When the community manager arrived, I was introduced to him, and when he asked how I contributed to the team, I showed him the pictures I took as I was the first person from the content team to arrive the venue and had the pictures of the set-up.
That was all that I needed, and that's how I got in.
Since I arrived just that day, I didn't get their branded shirt. But that didn't stop me, I did my work and still presented at the end of the day.
To show how much I was appreciated, I was given a merge. I had to snap this today because I was so tired to remember I didn't take a picture of it yesterday.
When the event was over, the manager commended everyone for a job well done, and we took a group picture with all the volunteers.
And every bit of it sent a clear message to me.
It's one thing to work with brands, it's another thing for a brand to be intentional about people who work with them.
Asides the physical value we got, I got to learn things that expanded my knowledge in real-time and in the Web3 space.
And one of the things that really stood for me was when one of the speakers mentioned that...
Your building stage can be your toughest days. You just have to build hoping, praying, and knowing your efforts would pay off if you're diligent and consistent.
This shifted my perception about life again. It's not just about when you're hustling for building wealth, it applies to all areas of life.
Whatever results you want only come as a result of consistent and repeated efforts of the things you do.
Again, another speaker mentioned that...
Investing doesn't create wealth, it builds a habit in you that prepares you for your future self.
And then I knew better about investing and having to discipline myself with the resources I have.
It was just another day to learn and evolve which was so beautiful.
I'm glad I got to do this, and I look forward to implementing most of the things I've learned.
