The magic of the cherry blossoms is now some weeks behind us, and everything around us has become noticeably greener. Tiny buds have turned into large leaves; everything is blooming, growing, and sprouting—spring is showing us just what it’s capable of. Although it really doesn’t need to prove anything to us.

But even if—or perhaps precisely because—everything is moving so fast again, I’d like to take a brief look back sometimes. We all need a little break, but somehow we never seem to find the right moment to pause and catch our breath. Yet occasionally, I suppose, we simply have to force ourselves to do so.

And for that very reason, I’m treating myself today to a few cherry blossom photos I took last month. Once again, Queen Sakura graced us with her presence and transformed the landscape around us into a sea of glowing blossoms. Well, not everywhere of course, but at least where I looked.

And even though this year’s show is over, the memory is still fresh. And since I want it to stay that way, I love looking at a few cherry blossom photos every now and then—as it brings the magic of those days back to life.

Today I’m sharing them publicly so everyone can enjoy them too. I’ve picked out a few especially stunning cherry blossom scenes just for the occasion. That is where I recently walked, right beneath those very trees and I was simply delighted by how beautiful life can be.

Oh yes, it was wonderful. And fortunately, this spectacle repeats itself every spring, so I already have a few reasons to look forward to next year. Even though, of course, I’d like to linger a little longer in the here and now. I’m in no hurry, which is perhaps also a reason why I keep looking back. But why not? It really was just too beautiful...

Der Zauber der Kirschblüte ist nun schon ein paar Wochen her, und um uns herum ist derweil deutlich grüner geworden. Aus kleinen Knospen wurden große Blätter, es blüht und wächst und spriest - der Frühling zeigt gerade, zu was er fähig ist. Obwohl er uns das eigentlich gar nicht beweisen müsste.

Aber auch wenn, oder vielleicht gerade weil es wieder einmal alles so schnell geht, möchte ich heute einmal kurz zurückschauen. Eine kleine Pause brauchen wir doch alle, nur finden wir irgendwie nie den richtigen Anlass zum Innehalten und zum Verschnaufen. Doch manchmal muss man sich wohl einfach dazu zwingen.

Und aus eben diesem Grund gibt gönne ich mir heute ein paar Kirschblütenbilder, die ich im letzten Monat aufgenommen hatte. Auch dieses wieder hatte uns Königin Sakura mit ihrer werten Anwesenheit beehrt und die Landschaft um uns herum in einen leuchtendes Blütenmeer verwandelt. Nun ja, natürlich nicht überall, aber zumindest dort, wo ich hingeschaut habe.

Und auch wenn das große Spektakel für dieses Jahr vorbei ist, ist die Erinnerung doch noch ganz frisch. Und da das auch so bleiben soll, schaue ich mir immer wieder gerne ein paar Kirschblütenbilder an, welche den Zauber dieser Tage noch einmal aufleben lassen.

Heute mache ich das mal ganz öffentlich, damit auch alle etwas davon haben. Ich habe uns extra ein paar besonders eindrucksvolle Kirschblütenszenen rausgesucht. Dort genau unter diese Bäumen bin ich vor Kurzem gewandelt und habe mich einfach nur gefreut, wie schön das Leben doch sein kann.

Ach ja, toll war es gewesen. Und glücklicherweise wiederholt sich diess Schauspiel ja auch jeden Frühling, so dass ich bereits ein paar Gründe habe, mich auf das nächste Jahr zu freuen. Auch wenn ich natürlich gerne noch ein wenig im Hier und Jetzt verweile. Eilig habe ich es nicht, was vielleicht auch ein Grund ist, warum ich immer wieder zurückschaue. Aber warum auch nicht, es war ja doch auch zu schön gewesen...
